Steven Universe Reader Insert (Rewrite)

Steven made a new friend!

"Steven, maybe you should start on the boardwalk and not on the sand." I suggested, but he shook his head and continued making the tough ride on his bike- only to fall on his side.
"Ugh… I got this!" He huffed as he got up and tried again.
"Ugh, okay. I'm gonna go meet up with Jenny and the others." I waved and I walked away from my little brother.
"Okay! Bring back a pizza please!" Steven shouted, I gave him a thumbs up and continued on my way. The area where all the local shops on the boardwalk had a different smell than the area around my house. At home it smelled like fresh air and with a hint of salt and sunscreen, but here it reeked of old frying oil and melted plastic- nonetheless in some weird way it smelled like home. Even the smell of fish coming from the pizza shop was in a weird way welcoming. Pushing the door open, I was welcomed with the sound of a chiming bell. There at the counter was Kiki talking to her sister Jenny, who was dangling the keys to the pizza car in her hands. "Hey (Y/n)!" Kiki and Kenny greeted me, I smiled and greeted them back. "Sweetie, I haven't seen you in a minute- you look cute as heck." Jenny smiled as she eye'd my outfit. Looking down I thank her, my black oversized shirt with a yellow star on the chest paired well with ripped jeans and fishnets under the denim. Finished with white shoes and a few rings.
"Guys! (Y/n)'s here!" Jenny shouted to the dining room, looking over her- I didn't even notice the table filled with Buck and Sourcream.
"Hey." Both guys greeted me, I smiled and gave them a high five and took a seat with them.
"Boys. What's on the agenda today?" I asked, leaning back into the metal chair.
"We were just going to go on a drive, wanna come?" Jenny asked, I smiled and nodded. Driving around and trying to find something to do we stopped at the back of the Big Donut where Lars was waiting for us.
"Hey guys- oh. Didn't know (Y/n) was joining us." Lars said as he hopped in the back with Buck and Sourcream.
"Yeah, dude. They're sick to hang out with." Buck said.
"Yeah, when they're not training like crazy." Jenny teased, I rolled my eyes and bumped her shoulder with my arm.
"So where to?" Lars asked, honestly I didn't like the donut boy. He was rude to Sadie, who was too in love with him to notice and he was a jerk to Steven for no reason, but I wasn't going to say anything and ruin everyone's day.
"How about dead man's mouth?" Jenny asked, everyone mumbled a yeah or sure.
"Dead man's mouth?" I repeated.
"Yeah, some guy died there… or it looks like a mouth, I can't remember." Sourcream said. Driving up a mountain and watching the trees and grass pass us we stop in front of what I assume is Dead man's mouth.  Stepping out of the car and making our way deep into the makeshift trail I stop when I see the police tape Crystal gems and I had put up not even a day ago. Blocking any human from entering with the killer moss- honestly, we should've just gotten rid of it.
"Um, guys. I think we should leave-" I began but stopped when Lars huffed.
"Come on, don't be such a downer." He said, ripping the police tape off the rocks. The others following him, Jenny looked over to me and raised a brow at me.
"Come on, (Y/n). Let's go for a swim. The guy dying here was just a story-" Jenny began but I shook my head.
"No, no- It's not that. This place is dangerous and we put up police tape for a reason-" Buck cut me off this time.
"You put this tape here? Why?" He asked, take off his shirt and pants, Jenny taking off her jacket as Sourcream took his jacket off too along with parts of his pants. Lars takes his shirt off too and makes his way to the water but I stop him since he was behind me- the others don't wait for my answer they jump in.
"What are you doing?-" Lars stops when he notices the moss moving and making its way to the three teens. Before I could shout for the three teens, the moss drags them under water. "What the heck?!" Lars shouted.
"Ah!" Jenny, Sourcream, and Buck all groaned and moaned, dragging themselves out of the pond- the moss already taking over their bodies. The moss making their bodies stiff up and unmovable, Lars drops to his knees and tries pulling off the pieces of moss from Jenny's face- only for it to grow back over.
"There's no time for that!" I shouted, grabbing the back of Lar's neck and pulling him up to his feet. Looking around I see the top of a mountain- a memory came back to me when I was with mom.
