Reiko was slowly getting better.
She still hadn't slept, but she did eat a few things now.
It's unknown how, but Reiko could survive weeks without sleeping. Though the side effects after would be horrid, her record was a month.
She was getting close to it now, too, and she knew.
It was hard to focus, hallucinations popped up here and there, and she had almost no control over her emotions.
Not to mention, she could barely use her quirk.
She would've been fine for a few more days if it wasn't for the quirkless training Aizawa decided to do with class B.
She hated seeing Hayashi's smug face and hearing anything that came out of his mouth, too. He was just so arrogant and for nothing.
His Quirk alone was useless in battle, and he didn't have the physical build to be a hero either. He was a skinny bastard that had no right to get into U.A.
"Will you be okay?" Mina distracted Reiko from her thoughts. "As long as he's not my partner, and even then, I won't be the one you'll need to worry about." Reiko sighed.
As much as she hated the sight of him, her eyes never left his figure. As if he'd do something if she looked away.
"You'll pull from these boxes to see who's your partner, for every 1.a student, there'll be a 1.b student, so don't get your hopes up." Aizawa explained nonchalantly. He and class B's Homeroom teacher were holding separate boxes with numbers inside them.
After the pulling was finished, they lined up in order. Reiko was first, then Iida, Uraraka, and so on.
On the other side, Hayashi got first place.
He smirked while Reiko just glared at him. If they were in an anime, you'd be able to see a dark aura radiating off her.
"You will have ten minutes to knock your opponent out or get their shoulders to touch the ground. You can't use quirks or support items at all." Aizawa explained the rules again, in case someone forgot.
The first pair was set up in a boxing ring while the rest watched.
"And, start." Class B's teacher blew a whistle.
At first, Reiko didn't plan on being too harsh since Hayashi didn't have any strength in him, but his first words changed her mind.
"So how's Re-"
He didn't get to finish his sentence before he was slammed headfirst into the ground.
"You may think I'm like my brother, but we have our differences," Reiko spoke coldly. "For example, he believed violence isn't the answer when it really is."
The fight was over as soon as it started. Hayashi's shoulders were touching the ground.
"Don't ever speak his name again." She warned before stepping out of the ring.
Most students stared at her in shock, class B because they didn't think she was that strong and class A because this wasn't the Reiko they were used to.
She stood next to Mina, who held her hand instinctively. "You didn't kill him," a small smile was apparent on Mina's lips. "I was planning to." Reiko sighed with a slight smirk.
"You have a brother?" Uraraka asked from next to them. "Used to, but yeah. I had a twin." Reiko sighed.
Beating him took some anger from her, so now she was a bit at peace.
Bakugou was kind of shocked. He knew how strong she was since he'd experienced it firsthand before, but he didn't think she would bodyslam someone like that.
Not that it scared him. If anything, it made him like her even more.
.
Aizawa has had enough of Reiko not sleeping.
He wouldn't have minded if it didn't take her ability to use her quirk since her grades were higher than ever, but she was losing control rapidly. Plus, they needed her for an upcoming mission.
That's why he talked to Principal Nezu about it.
And that's why Midnight had to pay her a visit that night.
"Manemi, can I come in?" Midnight's smooth voice broke Reiko from her thoughts. "Did you need something, Ms. Midnight?" She asked when she let her in.
"I just wanted to talk. Since you found that villain hideout, you haven't been yourself." The blue haired woman sat next to Reiko on her bed. "Oh, I'll be alright. There is no need to worry about me." Reiko smiled reassuringly.
There was something fishy going on, Reiko could tell. Why else would Midnight just come into her room to talk.
"Are you sure? When was the last time you slept?" Midnight brushed her hair gently. "I'm sure, Ms. Midnight. I'm a strong girl, I can handle this."
Reiko was getting really tired really fast, but by the time she realized what was going on, it was too late.
Midnight used her quirk to knock Reiko out. As much as she wanted to fight back, she didn't find the strength to do so.
Midnight filled the room with her aroma and locked the door on her way out to ensure that Reiko wouldn't be disturbed.
