It wasn't long before Reiko woke up. She was covered in bandages and confused at first but then it all came back to her.
She wasn't hooked up to any machinery, so she just got up and left. She looked around for anyone, finding Midoriya pretty soon.
"Midoriya! Did you manage to save Eri?"
"Reiko! I'm glad you woke up. Yes, Eri is fine now." Midoriya smiled warmly. "Please get back to your rooms, you two. U.A. will have my head on a stick if you rip a stitch." A nurse called from her table.
A relieved sigh left her lips as she made her way back to her room.
She tried brushing through her hair only to realize the length had been shortened. Her mid-back length hair had been cut down to a short wolf-cut.
Events of the past came back to her slowly, seemingly making sure she would let everything sink in deep.
Now she was worried about what would happen to her cousins or what they would think of her. Her biggest fear was being hated by someone she loved and she wasn't sure Sinji and Satoshi would still like her after she gave them up to the police.
She couldn't even text anyone; who'd be up at two in the morning?
Bakugou was up all night. He couldn't get a single minute of sleep.
He hated it. He hated how quickly he'd developed feelings for someone he'd never known before now.
He was worried that he was falling too fast, he already could not sleep if he didn't know she was safe.
Aizawa had told everyone that she'll be fine but he couldn't help the anxiety rising within his stomach.
He also couldn't help but text her. He didn't expect a reply, especially not instantly.

Don't tell me what to doDespite his text, he did as told. His eyes shut almost instantly and he was off to his dreams.
Reiko did the same, setting her problems aside for the next day.

The next morning, she was awakened by a nurse who brought her breakfast.
"When am I getting discharged?" Reiko asked after thanking the nurse. "If everything's good, today. Your wounds have healed enough to not require professional care." The nurse answered.
Not long after a doctor came in for a check-up, her parents came to visit. "I'm starting to not like this school." Haruka sighed. "I'll be fine, mom. It was just a scratch anyway." Reiko smiled reassuringly, although it didn't work.
"Just a scratch? You almost died!" Her mother squeezed her hands. "I don't know if I can take this much longer, sweetie." She looked down.
"You've almost given both of us a heart attack." Kai soothed her mother. "I know, I'll be more careful from now on." Reiko nodded to herself.
Their chat was interrupted by the door opening. Aizawa stood awkwardly at the doorway, staring at the three of them.
"I'm here to get you, the police want you to answer some questions about the villains you saw." He cleared his throat.
He handed her a bag with some clothes and left the room with her parents. Reiko changed quickly, a mix of happiness and dread rising inside her.
She was happy because she was discharged but she dreaded talking to the police.
She could only hope that they wouldn't ask much.
After saying goodbye to her parents, she entered the car her teacher lead her to, buckling up while he got to the driver's side.
"I must warn you, most of the questions will be about those two." He said as he started the car. A heavy sigh left her lips. "I was hoping they wouldn't..." Her lips quivered.
"Shouldn't have said that you knew them," Aizawa said. "Right. And let you get beaten to death." She glared over at the man who kept his eyes on the road.
"I appreciate your concerns but I would've been fine without that information." He sighed.
Reiko just hummed in response, looking outside to admire her view.
Upon arrival at the police station, she was lead to an investigation room where she was left alone for a good few minutes.
"Good afternoon," a man with messy blonde hair and blue eyes and a brunette woman with green eyes walked in.
The man looked gentle while the woman had a strict, professional look.
"You may call me Jane and this is Lisbon." He introduced themselves.
"Your name is Manemi, right?" He sat across her with Lisbon.
"Yes, I prefer Reiko." She nodded. "Okay, Reiko. We heard that you know, or knew, two of the Hassakai members. Is that true?"
"Yes." She lowered her head. "Can you tell us their names?" Lisbon asked. Reiko wanted to say it but found the words stuck in her throat. She tried again, hoping she could this time but nothing came out.
Her breathing quickened, her attempts were futile. It was like something in her mind blocked those words completely.
"I can't-" She choked out before covering her face so they wouldn't see her cry from frustration.
Although that was useless when she began sobbing into her hands. The two waited for a few minutes before attempting to talk again.
"Why? Did they threaten you?" Lisbon spoke again. "No, they wouldn't do that. They're family." Reiko rubbed her eyes to get rid of the tears that just kept coming.
"I can't say their names but I can describe them to you. How they look, act, whatever you need." She sniffled.
She felt pathetic, answering every question the investigators asked instead of just simply giving them up.
"Can you tell us their parents' names?" Jane asked. "Atsushi Yuudai, he's also blonde and he doesn't have a quirk. He's usually quiet and level-headed but I don't know how he will react to this." She nodded to herself.
"Their mother was most known as Wonder-girl." She added. "Alright. You did well, Reiko. We'll be in touch in case there's anything else." Jane thanked her and saw her out.
Reiko was way too tired and hungry to talk to anyone by that time. She just wanted to go back to the dormitory, eat someone's snacks and go to sleep.
Aizawa dropped her off before going on his way, having business in the middle of the night.
She didn't expect anyone to be up at this hour, the investigation lasting way longer than expected, so she was surprised to see a familiar set of blonde hair on one of the couches.
"Why are you still up?" She asked once their gazes met. "Cuz I want to. Ya hungry?" He put his phone down.
"Yeah, kind of." She shrugged. "Why? Are there leftovers?" Bakugou hummed in response.
He lied. The class didn't make anything for dinner, just ate whatever. He made teriyaki noodles, purposefully making more than he could eat so there would be food for Reiko when she got home.
Before Reiko could go get it, he already shoved the plate into the microwave. "What took you so long anyway? I thought you got discharged early." He made small talk.
"The police wanted to ask me a few questions." She brushed through her hair. "Nice hair, shaggy." Bakugou smirked as he put the plate down. She just chuckled in response.
The food tasted amazing. "Wow, who made this?" She asked, still chewing. "Don't know, didn't eat." He shrugged.
The pair bid their goodbyes before going to sleep.
