Rafe and I are currently waiting at baggage claim at the Outerbanks International airport, we just came home after spending the past 10 days in Florida, we loved our little routine there, we would wake up at 10 AM and he would go get us lattes while I was getting ready to go lay down at the beach, then we would either go on boat parties or beach clubs in the evening, I did manage to convince him to go shopping around in local stores one day to get souvenirs for all our family members.
Even on our last day, we still went to a white party a night before so we were hangover the entire plane ride, I slept on his shoulder while he slept on top of my head and the old lady beside us took a picture of us because she thought we were lovely, she even airdropped Rafe the photo ( I'm surprised she knows what airdrop is, my nana back in New York still doesn't know how to use Facebook).
Rafe was loading our bags in the car trunk while I was on Instagram about to post our plane photo. I had definitely posted a lot from our trip and I mentally thanked Sarah for gifting us a digital camera for our anniversary.
"Look at how adorable we look." I told Rafe as he opened the driver's door.
"Damn, posted 7 minutes ago and it has 8,000 likes already." Rafe chuckled. My account is public, and I have about 100K followers, I started blowing up 2 years ago when I started sharing moments of my life and I guess people were curious on how my group and I lived.
Rafe is currently driving us to his parents house, Rose is hosting a 'welcome home' lunch, which was very sweet of her.
"ELLIEEEEEE." My brother, Robert, yelled as he came running towards the car.
"Hi monkey bear, I missed you" I immediately ingulfed him in a hug.
We all took a seat at the beautiful table Rose's people set up in the back garden.
"Before I forget, these are from Elle, she wanted to get everyone something from the trip." Rafe said as he handed the souvenirs for everyone.
"Thank you Elle, that's really thoughtful of you." Ward smiled.
"Yeah ofcourse, I wanted to bring some positive energy for everyone, the guy at the store recommended a chakra bracelet since you can have it on you everyday." I ignored his comment.
*A few hours later*
Sarah and I were on her bed catching up on the events that we missed of each other's lives over the past 10 days while the boys went to my mum's beach club alongside Ward and Richard.
"I saw all the Instagram stories, but I still need more details Elle c'mon tell me something juicy" Sarah grinned.
"Well, we took a pregnancy test because I got sick on the second day" I said in a very serious tone.
"What? Are you pregnant? Is that why Rafe is so happy? Are you keeping it? How far along are you? Does anyone else know? Wait, does that mean you're getting married?"
"S, breathe" I chuckled. "I'm not pregnant"
"Oh thank god, I thought there would be a mini Rafe running around soon" she finally got color back in her face.
"Okay speaking of boyfriends, where's Top, how come he didn't come today? Does he not miss me?" Topper and I are really close, we're practically siblings.
"Elle, there's something I need to tell you...."
*Meanwhile at the beach club*
*Rafe's POV*
Harlan decided to call it a night, so Ward, Richard and I were the only people left sitting at the bar.
"So, Rafe tell me son, did you end up getting the ring?" Richard placed his hand of my shoulder.
"Yeah I did, I had to, it was too beautiful, I was actually on my way to a pharmacy because Ellie was ill that morning and it caught my eye from the window, and I just knew I had to get it"
"Did you make sure its top grade diamond Rafe?" My dad questioned.
"Yeah dad, I tested it myself, its flawless"
"Great job son, Elle deserves it" He said proudly and I smiled at him.
"When are you planning on giving it to her? You have to do something big." Ward added.
"I'm not sure if Elle's ready dad, I know I am but I don't think she is"
"Ofcourse she's ready, she loves you Rafe." Richard said.
I couldn't help but wonder how could Richard be sure, does Elle talk about it? Does she talk about marrying me? I couldn't help but smile at that thought.
But what they all failed to notice is the blonde listening in into their conversation behind the bar.
