20 Questions - Part 1

With everyone's eager faces I knew it was time for the questions to begin. While they were smiling I was absolutely terrified, I don;t think I could put into words how nervous I was for this. Do I have a reason for this no, or maybe the fact that i am sat in a room with 27 people who I have looked up to my whole life and they are about to ask me questions. ME Ellis Griffin this cant be real yet it is and its starting now.

Lucy was the first to start it of.

Lucy: 'What is your date of birth'

An easy one to start I could do this, this wouldn't be that bad would it yeah its would be fine.

Ellis: '28th May 2005'

You could see a few of the girls faces drop I mean i know I has told them age but I think for them to hear what year I was born was a bit of a shock. I couldn't help but smile a little bit as Jill Scott shouted.

Jill: ''Jesus are you serious I knew you were young kid but I only made my debut like a year after that, crikey I'm getting on, but its okay I'm still the life of the party'

To that everyone was laughing I could tell Jill was one of those people who just naturally brought a smile to peoples face like the other Jill I knew, I did think in my head that, that might get a little bit confusing having two Jills. I also laughed it was too funny.

Georgia: '' You say that now Jill those wrinkles will appear fast''

To that comment Georgia got a dirty look from Jill which quickly turned back into her notorious smile and she just laughed with everyone else. That wasn't bad to be honest I enjoyed it but it was onto the next question.

Kiera Walsh: ''Where are you from''

This was more of a tricky one to answer did they want where I was born or where I had spent the most time.

Ellis: ''Ummmm, I moved around a lot but I would say I was from Sheffield as that is where I was born and I spent a lot of time with my grandparents there, when my parents were away.''

From that comment you could see Ellie Roebucks face light up, she clearly had something she wanted to ask from that comment so she very quickly added.

Ellie roebuck: ''What team do you support''

It was then I knew that this could go one of two ways she wanted to know whether I supported Sheffield Wednesday or Sheffield Untied, there was clearly only one answer but it was whether she agreed.

Ellis: ''This is an easy one Sheffield Wednesday, all the way.''

It was then from the reaction on her face that she clearly supported Sheffield United, she was clearly from Sheffield then, the look on her face was a mixture of mock disgust and shock, it was clearly meant in a jokey manner but it was funny.

Ellie Roebuck: ''Seriously I expected better, I mean Sheffield United are a far better team I have to say I am disappointed in your choice''

Ellis: ''Its not a choice its a birth right my granddad was the biggest Wednesday fan ever I am only carrying on the proud tradition, I'm guessing that your from Sheffield then''

Ellie Roebuck: ''Yeah born and bred I will have to talk to you further about this bad choice in supporting Sheffield Wednesday''

I couldn't help but laugh as everyone else in the room seemed to be doing as well. Ellie was very good at acting deeply offended. At first I worried I had actually offended then she just joined in laughing with everyone else which was a bit of a relief, I can see that this debate is not ever with Ellie and will definitely be brought up later.

Georgia was next to speak.

Georgia: ''Well its clear you are both passionate about two rubbish football clubs''

At this both me and Ellie made mock offended faces, and again people started laughing.

Georgia: ''I do have a question though Ellis, isn't Ellis a boys name''

To this Georgia recieved a slap to the back of the head from Kiera. I just giggled.

Kiera: ''You don't have to answer that, that was just Georgia being anooying'

Georgia: ''What I was just curious''

Kiera: ''Shush''

Ellis: ''No its fine, I mean Ellis is a boys name so it's a fair question. My parents went to get an ultrasound and the doctor told them it was a boy so they got all excited and started telling everyone and they told everyone my name. They also painted my name on the wall of my room, then when they went to the next ultrasound the were told by the doctor it was a girl. Then they couldn't be bothered to repaint the nursery and just decided to keep it as my name. their excuse to me was that they though it was unique. They eventually told me the real reason when I was older, but I grew to like it, it's like they said its unique''

To this response Georgia was looking smug mostly directed to Kiera. Everyone else was just kind of silent, but not awkwardly just like they were thinking through things. then Georgia decided to ask another question, she has no filter.

Georgia: ''Wait so what did the doctors think was the thing''

To this Georgia received a bigger slap on the head from Kiera and a few other people, I was fine with it, the boys at school used to ask stupid questions all the time I was used to it.

Ellis: ''It was my middle finger so i was basically just flipping off the doctor and he thought I was a boy''

To this I got a lot of laughs especially Georgia who as almost on the floor she was laughing so much. This was going well and I was happy, things always seemed to go wrong for me but I was happy and all of the girls seemed lovely, maybe this was going to work out.
