I wasn't sure how I found myself on my couch, kissing Leo for the past half hour. I didn't want to speak and ruin the magic flowing between us. Eventually we had to give it a rest though, our lips sore and us out of breath.

I cleared my throat a little bit before pressing my lips together, looking over at him as he did the same. "So... I didn't expect this to happen," I thought out loud.

"Me either," he softly smiled, tilting his head as he rested his arm on the back of the sofa.

"Do you want anything to eat or drink? I mean, I'm not sure what else to say." I could feel the pink hue glowing on my face.

"Water would be nice." He licked his lips as I got up to pour him a glass. I couldn't help but just stand there in the kitchen area though, still in shock. It was like I couldn't process the fact we had been kissing moments before and for that long. I almost overflowed my cup as I held it beneath the spout in the fridge. I sighed quietly before pouring a tiny bit down the sink drain and walking back over to Leo.

"Here you go," I told him.

"Thanks," he replied, taking a long drink before setting it on the coffee table before us.

"So, does this change anything between us? I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page." I kept messing with my fingers as I dreaded his answer.

"It changes things a little bit," he softly chuckled. "But I wouldn't say we're officially going out or anything yet."

"That's okay. That's what I assumed it was like. Um, do you want to watch a movie or something?" I willed myself to look into those vibrant blue eyes.

"Not really. Would you want to go out somewhere? I'm fucking starving." More low chuckles escaped his lips as I managed to nod.

"Yeah, I'm really hungry too. I can't believe it's raining again." I took a peek out the window as we got our jackets.

"Yeah." He made sure to keep me close to him as we ventured outside. I could feel his hand squeezing mine as we dashed through the temporary downpour. Eventually we were in his vehicle and he was driving onto the main road. I kept glancing over at him, always feeling embarrassed when he would catch me. His wide smiles were beginning to make me not feel that way though. "Is pizza okay?"

"Yeah, pizza is great," I confirmed as he pulled into a parking lot. After he adjusted his baseball cap over his eyes we were able to hurry into the building. I loved the plant decorations throughout the whole place, grateful that we had a fairly private table in a corner. I didn't want us to get cornered by paparazzi.

"So, do you like Los Angeles better than Michigan," Leo wondered after we ordered a large pizza to share.

"They're so different from each other, but I think Michigan will always feel like home. Have you always liked Los Angeles the best," I wondered.

"Yeah, but I grew up here. I like New York too, and of course Germany and Italy."

"I guess I've always been more of a small town girl, even though there are a lot of things I enjoy about the city. You can get takeout from like anywhere at almost anytime. They couldn't even deliver pizza to my childhood house. It was so far into the country."

"Well, I didn't grow up in the best part of Los Angeles. It was a pretty rough neighborhood."

"I guess we had a lot different childhoods. My parents have always been together and we lived close to a big family. The town I lived near was very safe. My cousins and I would walk down the sidewalk alone together sometimes."

"Yeah, a lot different than my story," he commented, fixing his hair before placing his cap back onto his head.

I couldn't help but giggle as I gazed at him in amusement. "Why did you have to fix your hair? No one can see it anyway."
