"alfred, for how long is this going to last?" i asked.

"i don't know violet, your father is determined to find you. he still thinks that you would be willing to come back if he negotiated a deal with you of some sorts." he answered.

"well i don't think he knows that he'd be negotiating with the devil so his plan is not going to work. i like it here, can't you do anything to lure him out of new york at least?" i sighed.

"my hands are tighed violet."

"then out me to him, or get someone to out me to him. maybe he'll back off then and think it's a blessing that i fled." i ordered.

"are you sure about this?" he asked.

"yes, what's the worst that could happen at this point." i was sure.

"i'll get someone to do it with some discreet evidence." i could imagine him nodding.

"good, call me for an update."

"i'll call you when i call you."

"hello my little nutter." i attacked billie with a hug from her back. maggie invited us for dinner tonight and i couldn't say no to her chefs skills. not today not ever.

"hi." she kissed the back of my hand before holding my arms tight.

"hi violet, how was work honey?" maggie asked sweetly.

"typical work day, nothing special." i smiled. "do you need help with anything?"

"oh no i'm doing just fine on my own, your hands are quite literally tied too." she gestured to billie holding my arms hostage.

"right." i nodded once, then proceeded to rest my head on billie's.

"moma v find me in park and i cry a lot and then she— she find you and you hug me." tytus recalled our fist meeting.

"that's right tytus." claudia nodded. "good job remembering my worst parenting mistakes." she mumbled.

"hello everyone!" finneas burst into the house.

"some one is in a good mood." billie said.

"hell yeah i am, dinner's chef is my mother." he proceeded to walk over to maggie and hug her, restricting her from movement.

"violet." claudia acknowledged my existence.

"claudia." i replied.

"a.b! i want cuddles too!" tytus swung his arms up high for billie to grab him. she abandoned me and put tytus on her lap. am i jealous of a three year old? yes. yes i am.

everyone was occupied with something or with someone and i was just there. i decided to get up and go to backyard, i love it here. it's such a pretty place, you can imagine the endless memories made here in billie's childhood.

i found myself sitting on one of the cushioned chairs smiling like an idiot thinking of what if's. what if billie and billie actually do end up having a family together? what if we had a backyard just like this one and let our kids go wild? what if we hosted birthday, easter and halloween parties there?
