The Pogues sat outside the Chateau the following day, having spent the night there. Callie's parents had taken some convincing since initially they wanted her to come home to sleep. She told them everyone was still struggling with John B being arrested and they eventually folded.

Callie was sitting and reading a book on the couch across from Kiara who was tuning her ukelele. Pope was over by a table messing around with some spare parts and JJ was waxing his board.

He and Callie had plans to go out later and have a surf lesson, where they also were going to come up with another way to save John B. JJ had been pretty quiet since the ambulance incident, still frustrated that his first idea had fallen apart the way it had.

"Good morning," Florence smiled as she approached them all. No one really responded, all of them still feeling quite disheartened. When she was a bit closer, the blonde held up a bag and tray. "I bring muffins and coffee."

Kiara shuffled over, making space for the girl to sit beside her as Florence handed out some breakfast.
"Thanks, Flo," she smiled.

Taking a large gulp of coffee, Callie nodded, "Yeah, thanks. This was definitely needed."

"It was the least I could do," Florence told them all.

Florence and Kiara spoke quietly amongst themselves as Callie continued with her book and the boys with what they were doing. While she understood why it was that way, Callie missed the fun, warm energy that usually filled the air whenever they were all together.

"That's a lot of wax on your board, man," Pope said to JJ. "Put too much wax, it's gonna be slippery."

JJ lowered the wax slowly, looking up from his board and over his shoulder at the boy. "Are you telling me how to wax my board, Pope?"

"No, I'm just saying that's a lot of wax," Pope reiterated. "Right, Cal?"

"Don't bring me into this," she mumbled as she continued to read. "Especially if that was supposed to be a dig at my surfing."

"That wasn't a dig - I was just saying you because you work in a surf shop," Pope was quick to backtrack.

JJ scoffed, "So first you're telling me how to wax my board and then you make fun of Callie. You kidding?"

"What? No! I wasn't making fun of Callie," he defended. "I was just trying to tell you that that's a colossal waste of wax."

"Guys, really?" Kiara said, rolling her eyes at the two.

JJ looked like he was about to start at Pope again when the sound of a car horn caught the attention of all five of them. Normally, they wouldn't care. However, the sound of the horn sounded awfully familiar.
