One day Dravid announced that they would have a practice match so that he could watch and assess how all the players responded to different situations in a match.
Prithvi and Shubman were selected as the two captains who would take turns to choose players for their team.
They had a coin toss to decide who would start, which Shubman won and chose Siya first.
The boys couldn't understand why their teammate would take such a decision when he had the opportunity to pick just about anyone.
Dravid smiled to himself because he knew that Shubman was the only one of the boys who had an idea about Siya's abilities, unlike the rest of the boys who were just about to learn to never judge a person without knowing them, especially based on their gender.
He had heard the boys discussing about their doubts regarding her abilities and the reason was mostly the fact that Siya was a girl.
Dravid knew that he could have intervened, like his Mahi would have preferred, but he decided to let Siya handle the situation herself and prove her worth.
The boys were in for a nice surprise once they would start playing the match.
