POV ADA MARROW

"I can't believe you kept Victors' Prefect badge." I rubbed a hand over my face standing with Nox at the bottom of the girls dorm stairs. I had caught him flirting with Poppy in our Dorm.

"It's not my fault he hasn't found it yet. They should really charm these things and also what is this about a Beast rescue mission?" Nox questioned me, pocketing the badge again.

I pursed my lips looking away from him to the door that now opened, I had gotten quickly dressed and grabbed my things while Poppy had to change from her bed clothes.

"I'm ready! Let's go!" Poppy exclaimed, starting to walk past Nox until he grabbed her hand.

"Oh no! You're not going anywhere until I know what you're both doing."

"Nox! Come on Ada and I do this all the time, it's fine."

I bit my lip, "Well actually Poppy it's going to be a bit more like that time we went to Horn Tail Hall, not just some Poacher Camp." I kept my voice low so no one else still lingering in the dorms would hear us.

"Horn Tail Hall?" Nox questioned.

"A dragon fighting ring Ada and I infiltrated last year." Poppy waved him off, "If it's anything like the Hall we should be fine." Nox was looking more and more flabbergasted.

"Yes well we're not facing Poachers... We're going to a ministry camp and freeing the Basilisk and Chimera."

"I'm sorry, freeing the Basilisk and Chimera?" Nox hissed out, moving closer to the both of us,

"I'm in!" Poppy said excitedly, "Should I get my mask?"

"You're both dense in the head..."

"Yes! Can you get mine as well? It's in my wardrobe." Poppy nodded, hurrying back into our room.

"Masks? You both have masks?" Nox eyes were wide.

"Oh and my cloak Poppy!" I called out, ignoring my brother, Poppy popped back out and grabbed my hand quickly leading me down the chairs past my brother. Though he was hot on our heels as we left the Common Room.

"Ominis knows where the camp is at." I murmured to Poppy, "he's coming with us to subdue the basilisk."

"Oh this will be fun!" Poppy seemed rather excited to go back to our usual shenanigans. Our path out however was blocked by Nox.

"You two aren't going anywhere. Let alone freeing a bloody Basilisk and Chimera from Ministry custody."

"Well they won't really be free... I'm going to put them in a Vivarium where I can feed and care for them properly." Nox looked even more horrified at my words then at the prospect of truly freeing the beasts.

"Ada they're not pets..." His voice raised a pitch, mouth hanging a bit open.

"Well... I mean not with that attitude." I teased him, elbowing him out of the way.

"You can come with us if you want Nox." Poppy offered, walking around him to follow me to the exit. Nox rubbed his gloved hands over his face and groaned.

"Dammit all... Fine! I'm coming."

Once we stepped out of the Common Room Poppy handed me my mask and I started to rest the cloak over my shoulders.

"Ominis said they had been starving the Basilisk to make it more volatile so I'm to assume they're doing the same to the Chimera." I told the two walking them along the hall towards the stairs, "I had him get some meat from the kitchens."
