POV SEBASTIAN SALLOW

"Now Mister Sallow I know what transpired was rather traumatizing but we need your statement as to what happened." The older woman asked me, she was seated across from me at a table that had been pulled up in the Hospital wing, the doors were closed and off to the side Professor Sharp, Professor Hecat and Madam Blainey were giving their statements to separate officials.

"Obitus Gaunt had been trying to sabotage Ominis during the Triwizard Tournament."

"Was there proof, did any of you three witness anything?"

"No... Only Nox witnessed interference in the Second Trial... Anything else on the matter is hearsay..." I murmured, "It's why the Headmaster didn't report it..."

"The Headmaster knew about the accusations?"

"Yes..." I watched the woman continue to use the enchanted quill to write down my statement.

"Tell me how you found out what happened to Miss. Marrow? Nurse Blainey said that she had been tricked?"

"Ominis and I came up to gather Ada... She had been one of the... goals for the last tournament so they sent her to the Hospital Wing so she could be woken up and monitored." The woman nodded, her face soft.

I continued, "Henri Dubois mentioned to us that Ada wasn't in the Hospital wing when he went to collect Rosalie. So Ominis and I rushed to the Hospital wing and confronted Nurse Blainey about where she could have gone. She said Nox had discharged her about an hour before we arrived but we informed her that Nox had just arrived back with us." I held the wrinkled and crumpled up bit of paper, then set it down on the table in front of her.

"He had Madam Blainey give us this letter."

"Then what did you two do?" She murmured, she was still soft in her approach. She didn't believe we had done anything wrong or at least I hadn't done anything wrong.

POV OMINIS GAUNT

"Then after we found out I told Sebastian to get Nox and that I'd go after Obitus and Ada." I strained out. The woman's voice was soft and my body was shot, nerves from the torture numb. It was quiet and I had been told Sebastian had been sent off with Nurse Blainey for a quick evaluation.

"Why did you decide to go on your own?"

"He wanted me dead and he had her for over an hour. I thought if I got there he would focus on me and not... not Ada." I forced the words out.

"By the state that Miss. Marrow is in. I would say that your assumption was proved wrong."

I heard her quill scratch away, her silence lasted a while; I squeezed my eyes shut letting my head rest back against the pillows.

"What day is it?" I asked, voice still hoarse.

"It's still the third Mr. Gaunt. Can you perhaps tell me why your brother wanted to kill you?" She asked, how does one explain that generations of inbreeding cause mental instability... How could I explain to her that most of my siblings despised me because of my lack of sight? My mother gave me more attention. Father gave me the family ring when I was given that wand, was Obitus jealous? Perhaps he just hated me that much, perhaps his mind was just warped and his personality twisted.

"I was outcasted from the family, to some that is enough..."

"An unfortunate truth." She was silent again, the pause greater now as I felt her eyes staring at me, "I'll be back within a day or so to continue questioning you three and hopefully by then Miss. Marrow will be awake and healed. You'll have recovered a bit more and Mr. Sallows' shock has worn off. You three have been through so much." I felt her soft hand touch mine.
