Alastor crumbled to the ground, hands covering his face ears pinned down. A prominent frown on his face as husk, Charlie and angel dust stood up, the pride ring was torn up.
Buildings crumbling to the ground, sinners laid dead on the streets blood pooling around you.
Panting softly your good wing twitched, the other hung loosely at your back, torn off almost completely.
Your once white robe was now decorated with yours and his blood. Alastor had tried to drag you back down when it was time to leave, tearing your wing off. That's what started this war between him and the angels that had come to bring you back up.
There's a world out up above
It would not show me love
I thought I could stop the end
You watched as alastor stood on shaky legs, turning and leaving, hobbling over to a damaged building. His sad voice echoing, no longer static-y.
Somewhere deep down I believed
I'd bring you back to me
I thought we could have some fun
Can my damage be undone?
Turning back to look at the remaining group you followed after alastor, guilt flowing through you fluently.
I'd forgotten how to feel
Not sure if I was real
If I am no longer me
Then what can I still be?
You stepped over rumble, spotting alastor's ruffled ears pointed up his body hunched over eyes down casted to the ground.
By your side until the end
I thought I'd be your friend
I still hold onto that hope
No matter what I am then
Standing a few feet behind him you rubbed your arm, shuffling to him quietly. Alastor was in worser shape than you, his outfit torn in places and missing his monocle.
Taking a step over a large fallen column you sat down next to him. Alastor turned away from you.
So please just leave me behind
I couldn't win this time
I don't want to let you go
I'll be okay alone
Frowning you placed your hand on his, flinching away as he yanked his hand back, cradling it to his chest.
You deserve far better friends
Now you're here at the end
I can let all of them go
You sighed, shuffling closer to him, listening to his breathing quicken as he swung around to face you, tears streaming his face as he sang angerily.
Leave me be
Say goodbye
You can't help, why must you try?
He stood up taking a few steps back as you stood up also, a soft smile on your face as you approached him. You could never stay mad at alastor, he was your friend.
Why must you stay with me
Your battle's won, go with your family
Shaking your head you continued forward to him, your voice soft and soothing.
(It's not fair to be alone
After what you've been through-)
Alastor's voice overlapped with yours, your singing echoing throughout the broken building.
I don't deserve
Your mercy
If you won't fight
Please just leave

More tears streamed alastor's face, his fist balled up in anger.
No one came,
or heard my call
I'm so glad you
Took your fall
(I'll continue to reach out
I won't abandon you
Determination fuels me
To keep trying to save you-)
Alastor turned away from you, hands gripping his ears in desperation. Why were you so difficult?
Leave me be

Forgiveness isn't easy)
You both were mere inches from each other's faces, a frown on his face while you smiled softly.
Your battle's won,
go with your family
He gestured over your shoulder to the flying angels up above the building. Taking his hand in yours you laced your fingers together.

His body shook as you pulled him into a hug, closing your eyes as alastor continued to fight.
