"I still can't believe you apartment-sat for him." Cora laughed as I sat at her desk Wednesday afternoon. We'd been texting the past couple of days and once I told her I was in the club Wednesday, she told me I should come early for lunch.

Still a little weird how she knew I was getting railed in a matter of minutes, but I was starting to become used to it.

"I know. It wasn't too bad to be honest. Kind of boring actually. I expected to find some interesting dirt on him."

"He'd probably hid any potential dirt material before you came." She pointed out and I agreed. "I will say, it's pretty personal him asking you to apartment-sit. Invading his space. Sounds like something you'd ask a friend to do."

"Leave it." I brushed it aside. "We're far from friends and it probably won't happen again. Knowles was desperate and he probably had to pray for forgiveness before calling me." I could imagine it and the thought made me smile.

Cora shrugged, "I'm just saying." And continued to tap away at her laptop. That was when I noticed a folder open containing all those pictures I'd seen when I bumped into her several days ago. They were professionally taken of so many sights in the city. Some were recognisable, others more lowkey and obscure.

"These are yours?" I pointed to them.

Cora's eyes went wide and she shut down the folder, "What? No."

"Why did you close down the folder?"

   "What folder?" she acted clueless.

I squinted, "The folder you just closed down with those pictures on." She didn't reply and continued typing away. "They looked really good."

  She paused, "...You think?"

"Ha-ha! There was a folder and I'm not crazy." I pointed, "And yeah they looked really good. Did you take them?"

Her demeanour turned a little shy, "Yeah – but don't tell anyone you saw them."

   "Why not?"

She shrugged, "Because... it's just a hobby and I don't want people getting all up in it. Especially if all they're going to do is judge and criticise my work."

I shook my head, "Well, I think someone would have to be blind to judge and criticise it because from the glimpse I've seen, it's really good. Maybe you could show me more of them sometime?"

I noticed the little smile on her face as I suggested it. She chuckled, "We'll see." I hoped she would.

Just then, the door opened, and Knowles walked in. Looking slightly dishevelled I might add. The shirt under his coat untucked, hair tussled, even the scarf around his neck looked like it'd been thrown on in a rush.

"Someone slept through their alarm." Cora muttered as she got back to typing fast on her laptop.

"Traffic." I heard him say as he walked up to me. Something about his demeanour was all off. "You ready?"

"I mean I've been sitting here for the past hour." I replied.

He shrugged, "Yeah, well, I said there was traffic. C'mon."

I glanced back at Cora, "See you later."

"You too, girl. Remember to wear protection, Christopher!" she called after us as we went upstairs. I couldn't help but laugh at that.
