I sat across Ouri, the both of us staring at each with Sakura watching quietly from the corner. Her eyes were dead, but at some points they fired up then died again quickly. It was like she was trying to hold back from something. Truly impulsive. As we kept sitting there, silence weighing down more with every second passing enough to break out spines, the door opened. "What?" Sakura shot up in confusion. "Yuriko Nishinotouin?!" She walked in, looking at me. With a bilious face, she sighed, "You wanted me to be your dealer?" "Yes," I answered. "After all, you do owe me." She growled lowly, but pushed it aside to walk over to the end of the table. I looked back to Ouri glaring at me throw her bangs. I shrugged, "What? You told me to pick someone else, so I did. With a member of the student council, they are automatically aligned with neutrality. It's only when they don't play the game is when that statement rings true." Ouri put her head down, looking down in her lap for a moment. Raising my chin, I scoffed, "To be honest, I did you a favor with Aoi. He didn't really-" "What's the game?" She demanded from Yuriko, ignoring me completely. It's very easy to pick at her, isn't it?

The game Yuriko had picked was Full Count Blackjack. How it worked was you first would set up 5 hands using all 13 cards in a suit, each being about 2 or 3 cards. The rest follow regular Blackjack rules; after setting up your hands, you'd put them up against your opponent's hand of choice and whoever has the closest to 21 without going over wins the round. Before the showdown, you can also bet money- of course- with the limit of 5 chips. Whoever has the most chips by the end of all 5 rounds, wins the whole game. With the rules explained, the game began.

After the cards were shuffled and handed out, our hands were sorted. I started by betting one chip and Ouri raised it by 3. Looking down at the pile, I called. Yuriko sighed, "The betting round is over. Let us now commence...the showdown!" As she loudly announced the last word, both of us showed our hand. I had a queen of diamonds, 8 of diamonds, and 3 of diamonds. Ouri had a jack of clubs, 7 of clubs, and 4 of clubs. Yuriko looked at both set of cards. After a second, she declared, "Both cards equal 21, so this round ends in a ties. Now, moving forward to round 2's betting round." I went to reach for my chips, but stopped midway of grabbing them. Ouri noticed this, and I went back to looking at her. "I've looked into you a bit, of course," I told her. "You have a photographic memory, serving to your incredible intelligence. It can be an advantage in certain gambles, letting you guess what kind of hand your enemy has." "Do you ever stop talking?" She glared. Leaning on the table, I narrowed my eyes, "My question is....do you clearly remember how he smiled at you? Looked at you every day you saw him?" Her teeth started to grind hearing me, and grip on the cards made them morph into the shape of her fist.

"Michi," Yuriko got my attention. Looking into my eyes, she froze for a moment before stuttering slightly. "I-I...I would suggest that you stop provoking Ouri." "You already know she can't hurt me, so what's the problem? I'm not arrogant, I simply know my limits." Slamming her hands on the table, she leaning closer to my face. She screamed, "Shut and play the game! I don't need your pathetic rambling in my ear!" Wiping some spit off my face, I picked up my other hand gently and thought it over. While I thought on a type of play, she threw forward a chip, "Call one chip." "Raise one chip," I added in while sliding a chip forward. With a large grin, she pushed her whole pile of chips, "All in." Everyone was staring at me to make the next move, so I laid my card face down. Putting my hand up, I stated, "I fold." With that, Ouri was in the lead with 7 chips and I only had 3. Since I folded, there was no need to show her hand, so we quickly moved to round three.

Round three went by quicker than you would think, because I put in one chip and she instantly folded. After she did, she looked over to me, searching for something. Maybe a crack, sweat, something that showed that I was getting nervous. When he eyes widened, it told me she saw none of those things and that wasn't what she expected. "Onto round four's betting round," Yuriko announced. She pushed her pile of chips forward, going all in once again. I decided to play along and call it. With the betting over, Yuriko sighed, "Alright. Showdown!" With her declaration, we both showed our hands. Yuriko examined our hands, "Both are natural blackjacks, so this round ends in a draw. Onto round 5, the final round! Place your bets now!"
