      "You have a crush! This is...is the world ending? Oh my god, am I gonna die?!" Mei rambled on the phone. As I waking up, my parents called me with Mei behind them finding out that I was trying to get closer to Ibara. Wonder who told them? 

      "Michi, is that true?" Mother asked cautiously. I sighed, fixing my socks, "He's one of my backup plans, so I need to establish a connection. Please don't worry too much as well, he knows this and hasn't tried to stop me once. His family is a different story however." They went on how they would like to meet him and Mei tried telling them more details on him, but I stopped her every time she started. Thanking them for calling and threatening Mei to keep her mouth shut, I hung up and went out to walk to school. As I walked in, someone joined me. "Good morning, Rei." "Good morning to you as well, Miss Michi."

      We didn't talk to each other for long, only greetings, so the rest of our walk to the building was in comfortable silence. That was until we actually made it to the school. Once walking in, we walked past the same two girls Rei stopped from bullying a mittens. Once greeting them, they got all giggly and blushing hard. Rei has been working, I see. It doesn't seem to take much though. As we walked down the halls together, every girl stared and whispered about her with only some attention to me. "Oh my god, it's Rei." "Is she with Michi?" "So cool~" Hearing them talk, I glanced at Rei, "You've gotten popular with the female students, Rei." She smiled softly, "I wouldn't say that. I'm simply respectful is all." 

      I stopped to feel my phone buzz. It was a text from Kirari....yes, I have her number saved. She texted about a special morning broadcast that needed me since I've moved up in the ranks dramatically. Surprisingly, Rei stopped right beside me the whole time, and kept that smile when I looked up at her. She gently asked, "Will we have tea again, Miss Michi?" "Of course," I placed my phone in my pocket. "Also, simply call me Michi. I am not above you, so there's no need for formalities." She gasped, but quickly nodded with some surprise still in her eyes. I nodded back, leaving to make my appearance on the morning broadcast. 

      "And now," Runa announced with a large smile. "What you've all been waiting for. The presidential election news flash! I'm your host, Runa Yomotsuki, Chair of the Election Committee. And as an added treat for us all, we have some extra special guests on the show with us today. Here they are!" We were all sat on very colorful bleachers as the camera panned to us. The new top 10 of the presidential election. Runa skipped over to start the introductions. 

      "In tenth place...no one could have predicted a house pet would make it this far, but here he is. Ryota Suzui, 13 votes." Honestly, it was just luck that brought him here. With the games with Yumeko and sticking around her, he's bound to get some votes in the process. He laughed nervously and waved at the camera. 

      "In the ninth place, she hasn't made any big moves so far, but she's got a solid foothold in the rankings. Nozomi Komabami, 15 votes." Nozomi is on the lower end of the branches and respect from anyone else in the family. She seems to have some skills, but it doesn't look like much compared to everyone else, only having 15 votes as of now. I haven't played her yet, but I've observed her small gambles. 

      "And in eighth place, she lost in the recent match of Nim Type Zero, but she stills holds a lot of votes. Miyo Inbami, 21 votes." With the match of Mary and Ryota, they have surprisingly done the work for me in judging her. Just in case, I'll have to play her myself, since I did leave in the middle and got fed the rest of the info from Runa. The relationship between Miri is questionable after everything though, but that doesn't matter. "But she couldn't join us today. Too bad," Runa added. How sad. 

      "In seventh place, he boosted his total in The Greater Good Game. His mind is sharp in spite of his bad boy style, and he's been seen with Michi Hino a lot more recently. What's that about? Ibara Obami, 26  votes." Even if I mean to marry him if my first plan fails, I still have to trample over him. Secondly, I get it's a surprise of me getting closer to someone outside of gambling, but do I need to be reminded of it constantly? He threw up a piece sign with a smug grin, also waving back at me a bit. I ignored it and looked away.
