Max's eyes fluttered open again, revealing a sterile hospital room. He looked down at his arm and saw the bandages wrapped around it, everything was coming back to him and how he ended up in the hospital and why. As he tried to sit up, he felt a sharp pain in his side. That's when he saw Valentino still sitting by his bed, holding his hand. Max's eyes lit up with joy and relief as he saw the love of his life was still there by his side, Valentino smiled back at him and squeezed his hand. "You scared me," Valentino said. "I thought I was going to lose you." Max knew that he was lucky to have someone like Valentino in his life. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do this to you" he looked down at his arms and sighed
"You didn't do this to me, you did it to yourself which hurts me more, my love. They said we can get you discharged and home" Val exclaimed and got up from the bed "I already did the paperwork but I wanted you to wake up first so I didn't have to wake my sleeping angel" he continued smiling.

Val held Maxs hand tightly all the way to the door to their house, not loosening his grip and not letting go until he had to, to grab the house key.
"I love you" max yawned out as they walked into the door, he grabbed the others hand as they walked up to their room. "Let's go to bed angel" Val picked him up and placed him onto the bed
"mhmm okay devil" max laughed before he passed out snoring softly.
"I love you so much angel"
