„Why don't we just kiss,
Like real people do?"

Y/N POV-

I walk into the office at a semi normal time this morning, settling my stuff in and slumping into my chair. I sigh, having a feeling that today is gonna be a long day. Connor and Hank greet me, and Chris waves from the opposite side of the office. I only wave back to Connor, the other two can suck my balls.

Logging onto my computer, I see an email from Chris.

ChrisSucksBalls@Gmail.com-
isn't your birthday in like a month?

I sigh, responding.

Y/N'sHotAf@Gmail.com-
In two weeks, Chris. Two weeks.

ChrisSucksBalls@Gmail.com-
Oh oopsies.

Groaning, not knowing what he has tucked up his sleeve, I close the tab so I no longer have to think about it.

Only 30 minutes pass before Hank gets a call, and of course, he angrily answers. About every 2 seconds he says, „Seriously?" or, „I don't wanna do that!" Which lasts about 3 minutes before he finally hangs up with a, „We will be on the way."

He boosts up out of his seat, a clear expression of annoyance on his face. He trots by, telling me and Connor to „Hurry the hell up." Connor of course asks questions, following orders but confused. I just lag behind him, laughing at Hank's temper tantrum. I wave bye to Chris, heading out the front door where Hank's car is.

He slams the door open and closed, and me and Connor follow suite, entering the car. Connor asks if I would like to sit in the front, but I decide to let him sit in the front so I can relax in the back. Hank's driving is scary, so I rather not sit in the front next to him.

He starts the car, grumbling to himself. Metal BLASTS throughout the speakers, shaking the floor of the car. I jump out of my skin a little, to which Hank turns it down a singular notch. I see Connors eyes go wide from the side view, and he is clearly a little baffled himself. Hank starts driving, immediately going over the speed limit.

I yell out to him, my voice hoarse trying to be louder than the music, „Old man! Can we not drive 15 above the limit? You may be suicidal but that doesn't mean I am!" He shakes his head back at me, „You are too, so suck it up."

I groan, drooping into the seat. I forget to put my seatbelt on, so when he slams his breaks on the first red light, I practically burst through the roof. Hank doesn't even look back, and Connor turns back concerned. „Are you alright officer?" I mumble in pain, rubbing the top of my head. „Yeah, just wish dick head would drive a little bit more like his age. Normally ancient people drive slow-„

Hank speeds forward, launching me again as soon as the light turns green, cutting me off. I quickly apply my seatbelt, sick of his bullshit. I only flip him off, knowing he wont listen to my words.

A minute or two passes before Connor's curiosity gets the best of him.

Boldly, he reaches over and turns down the music. As Hank starts yelling at him, Connor quickly goes first. „Do you always.. listen to this kind of music?" Hank rolls his eyes, clearly annoyed. „Yes." Connor only continues, „I quite like this music. It has... energy."

Hank turns, baffled. I yell at him to keep his eyes on the road, but he ignores me and continues his conversation. „You listen to heavy metal?"

I see a smile, devious smile form on Connors lips. „Of course, Lieutenant. I mean, I am heavy metal."

It's silent for a moment before Hank groans obnoxiously, sending me into orbit. I laugh, kneeled over from pure amusement. „Holy shit, THAT was amazing!" I reach up for a high five, and at first, Connor only looks at me confused. He slowly raises his hand up, my laughter still echoing throughout the car. I slam my hand against his, and his eyes go wide. Almost surprised, but more pleased. Almost like a dog after he gave his owner a present, proud and silly.
