Chapter #3 - A "Great" Reunion

Adamai stepped through the portal with Qilby.

"I can see the Sadidas from here," Qilby said, staring in awe at the sight of the kingdom as its whole. He smiled and started running into the Sadidas.

"I think we should start by finding Amalia to say hi," Adamai said rather jokingly, running after Qilby joyfully. Portal after portal they were about halfway when Adamai stopped and looked at Qilby. He had felt Yugo's pain and assumed it came from Qilby, as that's who he claimed to be.

"Yugo! Are you ok? I felt pain do you want to stop?" Adamai's questions came one after another before Qilby could respond.

"No, no. I'm good, Adamai," he finally did.

"Are you sure?"

Qilby was confused at his further questioning and said, "Yes. I am."

It wasn't long before they reached the palace. When they saw Amalia, she looked cold and distant on the throne. She was older, and clearly the queen of the Sadidas at this point. Amalia unpleasantly gasped at the sight of them.

"What right do you have here Qilby?" Amalia yelled at him. "Adamai, why are you with him, and with that joyful attitude, too?" They looked at each other, confused by her anger.

Qilby speedily calmed her down by saying, "Please understand that I'm Yugo, Amalia. It's a long story, but Qilby used the Eliacube to switch our appearances. Do you believe me?" Amalia's eyes flooded with tears of joy. She ran off the throne right at them smiling.

"Yugo! I'm so happy to see you! After all of these years I- I lost my mind. I thought you were dead, but here you are! Right in front of me. Glad to see you too, Adamai. I missed you guys so much," Amalia told them and hugged them both.

"How long were we gone, Amalia?" Adamai asked her.

"Oh, you must not know, then," she answered, pulling away from them, "I haven't seen either of you for six and a half years," They gasped and turned to look outside.

"What did the brotherhood think of us, and how is the rest of the brotherhood?" Adamai inquired, a little scared of her answer. Amalia smiled at that.

"The brotherhood is very well. We should go say hello to them! Eva and Persedal have kids, and Chibi just discovered his powers recently!" she exclaimed. Adamai smiled as well.

"Do you know where we could find them, though?" he asked Amalia. She nodded and grabbed some recall potions, handing them to Adamai and Qilby.

"We decided that if you ever reappeared, we would want the reunion to immediately begin. I almost forgot about the recall potions until I saw you walk in," Amalia said, drinking the potion. Qilby and Adamai drank theirs as well. They disappeared from the throne room and reappeared in a snowy, rather peaceful setting. A small cottage built into a tree was nearby, and they began to walk over to it. Amalia swung the door open,

"Amalia! Adamai! It's so nice to see you!" Eva smiled at them. Percedal frowned at the sight of Qilby.

"And what brings you here, Qilby? We aren't particularly fond of you here, you know," Dally condescendingly commentated.

Eva subconsciously touched her bow, saying, "Oh, I didn't see you there, Qilby." Qilby calmly smiled back at them as he stepped into their house, admiring the furniture.

"Please don't call me Qilby, I only look like him. I'm Yugo, and the Eliacube is why my appearance is unintentionally deceiving, Eva," he said back. Persedal also smiled now and walked up to him. He hugged Qilby and invited him in.

"I suppose you want to see Ruel, Alibert, and Chibi then," Eva got right to the point, holding up five more recall potions. Adamai nodded as she handed them each one. They once again drank the potions and teleported this time to Amelka. They walked right into the inn and Adamai saw Chibi passing out some food and walked up to him. Chibi's face instantly lit up.

"Adamai?! Is that really you?" Chibi asked, setting down the dishes on the table while looking at Adamai. Adamai smiled and hugged him. When they parted, Chibi speedily ran away to Alibert.

"Dad, get Ruel. You'll never believe what I just found out!" Chibi excitedly told him. Alibert smiled.

"What is it, Chibi?" Alibert asked, leaning down to look him in the eyes.

"Only the best, dad! Adamai came and is downstairs waiting for us to return!" Chibi yelled at him obviously overjoyed to see him. Alibert smiled. Chibi grabbed his hand and dragged him down the stairs laughing. Chibi giggled and threw his arms up to present them to Alibert.

"Adamai and the brotherhood! It's so nice to see you here," he said. "And Qilby," he added, slightly questioning his presence. The brotherhood looked at him disappointed.

"That's not Qilby! It's Yugo!" they all yelled at once laughing slightly. Alibert's face lit up at that.

"Yugo! I missed you, you know," he said, putting an arm on Qilby's hat to mess with him. Qilby forced a laugh out.

"Nice to see you too, dad," Qilby laughed again.

Adamai slightly froze up. He felt Yugo's immense pain and was confused at Qilby's calm function.

He loosened a little and said, "Yugo, we can sit down if you want, it's ok. I think you should if you're in this much pain, brother," he commented, concerned for him. Qilby looked at him slightly confused.

"I'm good, Adamai. I feel fine, really. Don't be concerned over nothing," Qilby reassured him again.

"You're not though, Yugo. Tell me where it hurts. Do you know why you're having sudden pains?" Adamai asked further. Alibert frowned.

"You can sit down, you know. I fine with it," he said, letting go of Qilby. Chibi grabbed right back onto Qilby.

"He said he's fine, Adamai. Trust him!" Chibi responded for him; his little face squished into Qilby's chest. Adamai stepped back and looked at Qilby again. Being a dragon, he could see who he really was. He gasped before yelling with his hand reached out toward Chibi.

"Let go of him, Chibi! That's not Yugo!" he cried out.
