~At Elger Nouvelle~

Tuto came back into a room to discuss something with Chibi. He looked out the window longingly.

"You know, I've thought about what you told me, Tuto," he started, looking at her, "Your theory makes sense to me. We could bring the case to Glip; he knew Qilby much more than I did and has many of his journals still with him." Tuto nodded a thought for a moment.

"It's just weird to think that we didn't realize it sooner, Chibi. What about my Kolor theory?" she asked him. He frowned.

"It just doesn't seem right. Although I agree that their behaviors collide in certain places, they look too different for it to be correct."

"And what about your precious Eliacube? You can't ignore that it has just been gone for eight years now, Chibi!" she yelled at him. Chibi put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"Tuto. Take the cube seriously. I know it's missing, but no one took it! I guarded it day and night with Grougaloragran until it disappeared! It makes no sense to anyone," he said through gritted teeth, "Go talk to Glip."

Tuto shook off his hand and strutted out the door. She went and found Glip and told him her theories.

"You think Ralo is WHAT?!" he exclaimed after Tuto finished. She sighed.

"Don't yell; the whole Krozmos can hear you!" she whisper-yelled, "But yes, I think Ralo is his protégé." Glip started pacing in a circle.

"Alright then. I say you test your theory. I remember that one of the secret leagues discovered marked themselves with scars that binded them to their guild. If you can find one..."

"...then we can stop them! That's it! He never takes his scarf off, and I've never seen him without it!" she exclaimed. She laughed in excitement and ran to her room.

She sat there for a good twenty and then realized that she had to bring it up to Adamai. She was suddenly conflicted with the fact that she didn't want Ralo to be the villain, but fought it off. Stiff, she walked to the council room.

"Dear council members and leaders of Elger Nouvelle," she greeted them, "I recently discovered a potential threat that lies nearby. Although I wish of the opposite, I've had my concerns on Ralo. Through studies and visual observations, I found that he might be one of Qilby's lost proteges."

Much of the group gasped in unbelief. Adamai stood up from his seat and looked down at the table.

"I agree. But if this is true, shouldn't we be concerned about Yugo? Ralo should return by tomorrow afternoon. I say you confront him as soon as he enters the city walls and call for help if you get into trouble," he suggested. Balthezaar , Grougaloragran, Phaerys, Shinonome, Efrim, Nora, Mina, Tuto, and Kolor nodded in agreement.

"I'll do it. Catching Ralo off guard, I can rip his scarf off and prove our concern. Although, what if we're just wrong? He has many reasons to be innocent. Don't you think that his little patience would have betrayed us already?" Tuto asked, causing Adamai to sit back down.

"It's a fair argument, but you need to think that risking the proof of innocence is weighted on the whole kingdom."

"Please, Adamai, consider that-"

"Tuto," Adamai slammed his hand on the table to catch her attention, "as the higher leader of the council and nation of Elger Nouvelle, I command you to listen to me! There is nearly not enough reward to risk anything with my brother at steak. Go and wait at the gate for Ralo to arrive and bring Yugo here."

Tuto looked down in embarrassment before turning away and running out the door. 'If you were here, Ralo,' she thought, 'I would make sure that you'd remain safe. But now I must betray our friendship.'

A tear ran down her face as Tuto stood with the gate in her sight. 'I just hope that we both come out safe at the end.'
