So... I'm back after a while.

These past weeks were more than a bit busy and I ran low on time...

Surprise to no one, being on time is a struggle and though I'll still try my best to keep up, there will be weeks (like this one) where I'll have to post it on a Friday with last week's chapter.

This story isn't ending any day soon though, that's for sure.

The second day, Adamai skillfully sheared a bouftou and tied its wool into a tight bundle. He felt rushed and tired.

As he walked to find another, a memory flew into his mind.

"Close your eyes," He had told Yugo. "Relax. Hear the sound of my voice. Take in the close sounds. The far sounds. Feel the warmth of the sun on your back; the clothes on your body. Breathe in. What do you smell? Note the taste in your mouth. Are you ready?"

Following his own instructions, he calmed himself down. It was such a random thing to remember, and he wondered why he would even think of such a scene. He focused on some words.

"Close your eyes."

"Close your eyes."

He had no idea why they seemed so important in that moment, until he did close them.

He saw Yugo and immediately dropped the wool. He was floating on a slab of wood in the middle of a lake. 'How strange...' Adamai thought.

He noticed Yugo's shallow breathing. He was dripping wet and hatless. He just layed there. Motionless. Half awake. He fell asleep and Adamai snapped to reality.

He quickly grabbed the wool and ran for his brother's life. He dashed to a pile of wood that had burned brightly the night before. It was the center of the camp site Elger Nouvelle.

"Grougaloragran!" Adamai called. "Mina! Phearys! Shinonome! Glip! Balthezaar! Nora! Efrim!" He called every name he could think of. The all came to the sight at once. Adamai had sat down, massaging the wool gently, but irritated.

"Adamai! Mina shouted first. He looked up and a tear came down his cheek. They all crowded around him, which aroused a second crowd that surrounded him.

"It's Yugo..." Adamai trailed sadly, "He sent me a message, I'm pretty sure accidentally, but he was on a body of water. He sat there motionless just thinking, 'close your eyes. Close your eyes. Close your eyes,' over and over again. He was distant, but ultimately fell unconscious,"

Phearys nodded and pulled him up onto his feet, but he just stared at the ground scarred and held one of his arms tightly with his other. Adamai watched as the ground became wet with his tears until they weren't tears anymore.

Shinonome, in her humanoid form, pulled his chin up to look him in the eyes. She noticed the streams of Wakfu that had replaced his tears. It was terribly dangerous.

"Do you think... could he be..." Adamai hardly whispered to them. He let go of his arm. You could see where he gripped it as it was paler than the rest of his already white skin. He teleported onto a nearby tree branch.

"Grougaloragran has faith in Yugo," he said, trying to sound wise even though he was barely older than 9. "You should too, Adamai."

Adamai came down and sat at the tree's base. He felt more tired. Phearys approached him and almost felt dizzy in the Wakfu-filled air. How much has he lost by simply crying?

"Phearys demands you stop crying, Adamai. You're draining your energy," he added, trying to reason him out of it.

Adamai wiped away his "tears" and stood there in silence. He put his hand on the side of his head and groaned before collapsing.

The inner circle leaned in to see him. He sat there unconscious. Everything was loud, packed, and panicked. The outer circle stood back as a shouting voice pushed through the crowd.

"Let me see Adamai!" he yelled. Half of the council sighed in relief seeing the person clearly and the other half of them looked at him coldly.
