The Ninth One

Chapter 6: Joining U.A

"Izuku Midoriya, this is your hero academia!" All Might said from a recording sent to him by U.A itself contained inside a letter.

Wait, this should probably be explained.

"Man, I did pretty good on that entrance exam but I don't really know if I beat Katsuki. I didn't see him on the way out, but I guess I was taking a nap when everyone was leaving. I shouldn't be surprised." Izuku muttered, not worried about passing the exams, but worried about not being in 1st Place in even the Practical Exam.

Izuku knew that his slacking off could've cost him his 1st Place spot. He acknowledged that even though he was leagues above his "rival", Katsuki still had a powerful quirk. Explosions from nitroglycerin-like sweat is not something people can just laugh at.

As he made his way back home, his mind drifted back to the strange dream-like vision he experienced during the exam. It was extraordinary, he can vividly remember the power going through his veins. It was sure something LSD could never compare to.

Anyways, he couldn't get that mysterious voice out of his head. It felt so warm and comforting, but it held authority and Izuku couldn't help but feel completely safe in the presence of that person. He was sure that he'd hear that voice again in the future.

As the days passed, Izuku became increasingly concerned. He was trying to contact All Might about the incident in the entrance exam, but he never got an answer. Izuku couldn't help but worry. What if All Might was disappointed in him for how he did? No, that was impossible! But what if it was because of his slacking off? Now, that's a possibility, but Izuku tried to take his mind off that.

As he unknowingly stared at his wooden table in the living room, he heard his front door open and then close, then a few moments later, opening and closing again. Izuku heard quick footsteps and he stood up to go and find out what was going o-

"IZUKU YOUR LETTER IS HERE! THE LETTER, FROM U.A!"

That's where Izuku is now, he got accepted into U.A! He finally realised how lucky he truly was to be in this position as his eyes teared up. He started wailing and heard his mother frantically enter his room trying to comfort him.

"M-Mom... I entered U.A!" Izuku said, words separated by their sobs.

"OH MY IZUKU!" Inko screamed in excitement.

He really was lucky.

'Class 1A... Class 1A... Come on....' Izuku thought whilst trying to search for his classroom.

A few minutes later of nervous searching, he finally came across a huge door with a massive 1A engrained onto it, he figured that the massive size of the door was supposed to cater for students with bigger bodies. Izuku silently hoped that Katsuki wasn't in there. Not that he was scared of him, but he definitely didn't wanna deal with his dumbass for the next three years. Oh yeah, and four eyes too.

As he opened the door, the exact opposite of his dream came true, as he saw Katsuki and the blue haired guy arguing.

"Am I really hearing bickering as soon as I enter this room? Come on, I'd expect more from U.A of all places." Izuku said, noticing Katsuki's anger as he recognised his presence.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, DEKU?!" Katsuki screamed.

"Plotting to steal the Krabby Patty Formula, of course. There's no way that I could be here to become a hero, right guys?" Izuku joked as he looked around the classroom, smiling at the obvious snorts and giggles of most of the students.
