Mountain x Reader x Cumulus - Labor

Reader goes into labor and Cumulus has to take them to the hospital, Mountian shows to to be supportive baby daddy!

Months pass and the baby continue to grow and your baby bump has become noticeable. You're doing pretty well, being halfway through your pregnancy, you're helping Rain and Sunshine in the kitchen, despite their insistence that they don't need it, and you feel a swift, strong kick in your stomach and your flinch.

"Are you ok?" Rain asks, concerned, putting down whatever he had in his hand. "You should sit down for a bit,"

"I'm fine," you say, but you sit down on the couch anyway.
"I told you not to do that," he says, coming to sit next to you.

"No no, just... the baby kicked," You say.
"Their first kick?" Rain asks. You nod.
"Wow," Rain says.
Mountain walks into the room with Aether following him.

"Mountain!" Rain waves him over.
"Is everything ok?" He asks, sitting next to you.
"The baby's kicking," You say.

"Wow," Mountain says. "Do you need anything? Is there anything I can get for you?"
"No, I'm fine," You say.
"Ok." He says. He puts his hands on your stomach and you feel another kick, but not as hard as the first. Mountain smiles.

"Baby..." he murmurs to himself.
"I'll leave you two alone," Rain says, walking out of the room.

You turn to Mountain. "I didn't know you were such a kid fan." You say.
He nods. "I've been thinking about having kits for a while, but I didn't know who I wanted their mother to be,"

You shrug. "I'm glad I got to be it."
He smiles at you. "I'm glad too."
You sit quietly, just enjoying his company. He rests his head on the swell of your belly, feeling the baby, HIS baby move inside you. He purrs softly.

"You want to go outside?" You say. "I think I need a break from this place. It's gotten too comfortable."

"Sure." He says, standing up. "You want to go back to our secret spot?" He asks.

You nods and he takes your hand. You walk out of the room and follow him up the stairs to the roof. You climb onto the roof and he follows, closing the trap door behind you. You sit down on the roof.

"You're my sunshine," He says, sitting down next to you and pulling you in to his chest. You rest against Mountain while me makes flower crowns, growing flowers from the palms of his hands, weaving them together into elaborate and intricate crows filled with different colors and flowers. They're gorgeous. He places one on top of your head. "I love you."

"I love you too."
You sit there for a few minutes, just enjoying the quiet. You lean back and look up at the sky, which is a bright, clear blue. You stretch your arms out and feel the wind, cool and fresh, blowing through your hair. You breathe in the cool air. You sigh, content. "You know, I've been thinking," you say.

"About what?" Mountain asks.
"What we should name the baby," you say. "I was thinking Fern, it's would work for both a boy and a girl," you add. "And Cumulus said it was cute when I told her," You say.

"It's a good name."
"Yeah, I like it. Do you have any ideas yet?"
"On a name?" He asks.
"On a name..." You say. "Do you have any you like? Other than Fern,"

Mountain thinks. "No, I think I like Fern,"
"Fern it is," you say, looking down at your stomach. "Our little Fern."
"Our little Fern," Mountain says, repeating it.
"I'm glad it's decided."

"Me too." He says, kissing your temple.
"So what do you say we go back inside?" You say.
"Yeah, I agree. Let's go."
You walk back down the stairs and into the Living Room. Aether turns to you and smiles.
