You weren't feeling the best, so you spent most of the day in bed. Chain had been bringing you food and water, making sure you were ok. He'd als ways sit and eat with you.

You finish eating and Chain does the same. He stands up and leans over to pick up your dishes.
"Thanks," you say. "That was really good,"

"No problem." He replies, and heads to the door. "I'll see you later,"
You nod. "See you later." You say.
Chain walks out of the room with the dishes, pulling the door closed with his tail.

You smile.

You remember when you found Chain and brought him back to the ministry, he had been Primo's first water ghoul before Seestor had kicked him out for being defiant of her when she threatened Primo over something. He was replaced quickly and no one really noticed until you found an old picture in a book and realized that Water and Chain were two different ghouls and went looking for him. He was reluctant to come back but you managed to convince him to come with you.

You chuckle softly as you remember how Primo showered you in gifts when you returned with Chain, giving him back his old ghoul, and the profuse amount of apologies to Chain for forgetting about him and never realizing that Seestor had gotten rid of him.

You shake your head. You're glad you took the risk and brought Chain back with you. You don't regret it for a second. You and Chain had gotten really close during that time, and you like it when you get to see him.

A couple days had passed and you physically felt better, but we're still somewhere else mentally. You were drained, tired, and had no desire to be around anyone. Most of the ghouls were too high energy to deal with right now, even the ones that were considered 'calm'. They had been calling and texting you, trying to make sure you were alright since you hadn't come out of your room much the last few days.

You sigh and stand in the hallway. Your not sure if you want to deal with everyone, since you know they're gonna be pissed you didn't answer their calls and ignored their texts.

You decide to ignore them for now, you'll deal with the fallout later.

You go back to your room and get ready for bed. You lay in bed for a few hours. You can't sleep. You get up and walk into the hallway. You still hear lots of chatter coming from the main room. You tip-toe to the edge of the hallway, you look around, looking for the best way to sneak past everyone.

Somehow, you manage to slip past the common room without being spotted. You continue down the hallway, going deeper into the ghoul's wing. You look at the doors, Fire ghouls, earth ghouls, air ghouls, quintessence ghouls, and water ghoul's are all clumped together by era, their names etched in the doors.

You reach almost the end of the hall when you find the door you're looking for.

'Chain Ghoul'

You lightly knock on the door. "Come in," a deep voice says from behind the door.
You open the door and walk inside. He's sitting at his desk, replacing the strings on his bass.

"Chain?"
He looks up, almost surprised to see it's you.  "What can I do for you?"
You walk over to him. "I need a Ghoul with a serious attitude to keep me company."

He looks at you. "Is something wrong?" He asks, setting the bass down.

You sigh. "Well... I'm not feeling great and I ignored all my calls and texts and I'm worried that everyone's going to be mad at me for it." You explain.
