The latter's face is undescribable, she's been frowning for hours. She's anxious but at the same time she tries to hide it.

Hanni's POV

"Pham Pham Pham" she said repeatedly

I was lost in my own thoughts, I suddenly raised my voice.

"WHAT?" I shouted accidentally, which startled her.

"Ohh chill, calm down. You always have a bad temper after that incident."Haerin tried to calm me down

I felt my heart ache at the mere mention of it.

"Don't mention it, it's been years," I replied, trying to keep my emotions in check. But the truth was, I had never truly moved on.

"But that face of yours never smiled during those years," she said, her observation cutting deep. She was right, I didn't know how to be happy anymore. My life was a mess.

"How can I be happy?" I asked, my gaze fixated on my coffee.

"You know what?" Haerin's voice was suddenly filled with excitement.

"Let's plan a field trip. We can go hiking or camping." Her enthusiasm was infectious, and I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope.

"That's a good idea, Haerin," I said, patting her shoulder.

"Let's invite Danielle, Hyein, Kazuha, Yunjin, Manchae, Sakura, Karina, Chaewon, and Min-" Haerin trailed off, her voice hesitant.

I knew she was kidding, we didn't even know where Minji is. Or maybe they did, and they just weren't telling me. My glare must have given me away because Haerin quickly corrected herself.

"Minjeong unnie, I mean."

As I sipped my coffee, the bitter taste matched my whole existence. I couldn't help but wonder where is now.

Is she happy?
Does she sleep well?
Does she eat well?
Does she also think about me? I doubt that
My heart ached, a constant, unending pain.

"I wanna go home, Haerin. Thank you for accompanying me today," I said, putting some money on the table. It was my treat.
Haerin smiled at me, her kindness shining through.

"Okay unnie, be safe. Thank you also for today. If you need me anytime, I can make time." She hugged me, and we parted ways.

As I lay in bed, staring up at my skylight roof, I couldn't help but feel grateful for Haerin's idea. I hope I'll get to enjoy. Looking up at the stars, I couldn't stop to admire the stars. They are beautiful just like her--- I mean, Just like me.

But the heavy weight of my heart and mind soon caught up with me, and I drifted off to sleep, hoping that one day everything would be okay.
