RWBY: Grimm Slayer (Vol.2) (Male Reader x RWBY)

Chapter 1

The students of the four main academies have been given a one-month break between semesters. Some students left their schools to go back to their homes to their families, while others are allowed to stay at their dorms for the break. Naturally, Y/N stay behind with Blake, Nora, and Ren. Apparently, Ren and Nora were both orphans long before attending Beacon, according to Ren. Nora just shrugs it off as they've been doing well on their own. Regardless, Y/N spent time with the two and Blake. On one hand, he doesn't have to deal with Cardin and his team during this break. On the other hand, his friend group is reduced to a small degree to just three other people.

(School's Cafeteria)

During their break, it's lunch time as Y/N is eating his lunch, sitting next to Blake. Across from them is Ren and Nora. 

Nora: "So, there we were, in the middle of the night..."

Ren: "It was day."

Nora: "We were surrounded by... Ursas."

Ren: "They were Beowolves."

Nora: "Dozens of them!"

Ren: "Two of them."

Y/N was listening to every word from Nora as Blake isn't, only focusing on eating her lunch. 

Nora: "But they were no match to us... And in the end, Ren and I took them down and made a boatload of selling Ursa skin rugs!"

Ren just sighs at Nora's storytelling.

Ren: "She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a week."

Y/N: "Wait, how do you know so much about her dream to correct her?"

Ren: "You really want to know...?"

Ren gives him a deadpan expression, making Y/N recoil for a bit. 

Y/N: "Well, when you say it like that, I don't want to know now."

Putting down her fork, Blake turns her attention to Y/N.

Blake: "Anyway, you finish reading that book I lent you?"

Y/N: "Oh, I'm almost done with it. So, you don't have to worry about it." 

Blake: "I see. Any book you want me to lend to you?"

Y/N: "Hm... nope. But I'll tell you if I do."

Blake: "Okay then."

This is when Nora let out a loud groan.

Nora: "I'm so boooored. Man, I really miss the others. Don't you, guys?"

All eyes turn to Nora. Nora's eyes focus on Y/N, which he takes notice of.

Nora: "Don't you like call Ruby and Yang?" 

Y/N's eyes shift away before responding.

Y/N: "I... I do sometimes. I also call my mentor from time to time." 

Nora leans back, letting out a sigh.

Nora: "Man, I wish this break would be over soon. It's never been a dull day with the others are around." 

Y/N: "Yeah, I guess so." 

Blake: "What part do you exactly miss?"

Y/N: "Eh... Yang's dumb puns, Ruby being a lovable goof, and Weiss being..."

Blake: "Weiss."

Y/N: "Yeah, let's go with that." 

They share a brief chuckle with one another. A moment of silence then falls upon their lunch table before Nora slams her hands on the table, and getting up from her seat, surprising her friends.
