Chapter Three

"W-wait..." I gulped and touched his chest when he was about to kiss me. "T-that's too sudden."

Zevero chuckled and finally distanced himself. Pakiramdam ko doon lang ako nakahinga nang maluwag. Parang sasabog ang puso ko sa kaba kanina.

Tumayo na siya saka tumingin sa akin. "Let's go. I'll show you your room."

Tumayo ako at sumunod sa kaniya nang maglakad na siya. Agad ko namang binitbit ang bag ko saka muling sumunod sa kaniya.

We went to a huge room. The style of the floor was like a chess board. There's a lot of sports equipment displayed such as tennis and badminton rackets, surfboard, golf club, and many more. Akala ko billiards lang ang nilalaro niya.

"This will be your room," he said and put his hand inside his pocket.

"Saan ang room mo?" tanong ko naman.

He chuckled as if he found my question funny. "This is my room, Kyla... You will sleep here in my room from now on."

My eyes widened. "T-this is your room? But why do I have to sleep here? Hindi ba pwede sa guest room or sa living room?"

"Why the hell would I let you sleep there? And besides, we will have lots of sex for you to get pregnant. Once you're pregnant, I have to take care of you too. Sleeping here will be convenient for the both of us," he explained.

I bit my lower lip and sighed. I guess he does have a point. I'm just worried... since I know staying with a man like this for nine whole months might be dangerous for me. I'm not confident that I won't feel unnecessary feelings for him... Siguro itatatak ko na lang sa isip ko ang dahilan kung bakit ako nandito. Nandito lang ako para sa pera... para maipagamot si Kobe.

I just shook my head and started fixing my things. Zevero told me to put my clothes in his wardrobe. Sinunod ko naman ang sinabi niya at nilagay roon ang mga damit ko. Our clothes were in contrast. Most of my clothes are white, while Zevero's clothes are mostly black. I just shook my head and closed the wardrobe.

I looked at the bed. I gulped when I saw Zevero sitting there while staring at me. I bit my lower lip and tried to calm myself.

"I-I'm done," I muttered.

"Yeah, I know..." He stood up. "Do you want to eat? I will only cook food that is good for your body."

I nodded. "Yeah, sure." Gutom na rin naman ako, e.

Lumabas na kami ng silid at dumiretso sa kusina. Umupo na lang ako at pinanood siya sa ginagawa. It seemed like he was really meticulous with his food and only ate healthy ones. Ang daming gulay at prutas sa fridge niya.

He cooked grilled salmon for me. I bit the insides of my cheeks because it looks and smells good. Napalunok pa ako nang ihain niya 'yon sa harapan ko.

"Fish like salmon are good for fertility," he said and sat on the chair across mine.

Why does he have to say something awkward like that?

I just shook my head and started eating. Tumingin na lang ako kay Zevero nang mapansin na nakatitig lang siya sa akin. Na-conscious naman ako at pasimpleng pinahid ang gilid ng labi ko.

"Why aren't you eating?" I asked and cleared my throat.

"I'm full. Just enjoy your food."

"How will I do that? Titig ka nang titig sa akin," bulong ko saka pasimpleng umismid.

"Why? Are you intimidated?" he asked and raised his eyebrow.

"Hindi. Ayoko lang na may nakatitig sa akin habang kumakain ako."
