Twin flames - an intense soul connection one experiences with someone thought to be their other half, their mirror. It's based on the idea that sometimes one soul gets split into two bodies. Because of this, a person can only have one twin flame in their lifetime.

I never thought much about this concept before. It seemed like a far-fetched notion, something out of a fairy tale. But now, in this tumultuous moment of my life, I couldn't help but ponder its validity.

There was an undeniable electricity that surged through my veins the very moment Aiyden and I met. It was as if the universe had orchestrated our encounter, intricately weaving the threads of destiny to intertwine our lives. The sheer intensity of our connection was both exhilarating and unnerving, defying all notions of reason and logic.

He became the missing piece in the grand tapestry of my life, a puzzle long unsolved until his presence filled the void. In his company, I discovered a profound sense of belonging and found the answers to questions I had long seeked to resolve, as if he held the key to unravelling the chaos that resided within me. With his gentle touch, he awakened dormant aspects of my soul, urging me to confront the dogmas and traditions that had defined me. Together, we ventured into uncharted territories, expanding the horizons of my world, and emboldening me to confront the shadows that lurked in the periphery of my existence.

So I could not help but to wonder whether he was my twin flame. Was he the missing piece of my soul, the one who would complete me in ways I couldn't yet fathom?

While uncertainties lingered, one truth remained steadfast—I knew he loved me, and I was determined to have him confess the depth of his affection.

It had been a couple of weeks since Tyler had moved into the den, and I had not yet been able to visit them as we were busy with end of term exams. But now that they were out of the way I had planned on going on Sunday. But, as fate would have it, my long-awaited reunion with Aiyden and Tyler would come sooner.

Indeed, Jonas was having a party this evening to celebrate the end of the semester, to which everyone attended except Charlie as things had not settled down between us.

But as the moon casted its silvery glow upon the streets Thomas and I made our way back home. I stumbled through the front door, my legs wobbly and my mind clouded by the haze of alcohol. The party at Jonas's had been a whirlwind of laughter and music, but now, as we found ourselves alone in our dimly lit home, the atmosphere shifted. It was as if a storm loomed on the horizon, darkening the air with its foreboding presence.

Thomas's eyes gleamed with a dangerous mix of intoxication and anger.

"You think you can act like that in front of everyone, don't you? Flirting shamelessly with every man at that party!" he slurred, his words dripping with venom. "Always trying to be the centre of attention, aren't you? Just a pathetic little girl craving validation."

I raised an eyebrow, a flicker of defiance igniting within me. "Oh, Thomas, you should know better than to mistake my charm for something more sinister. Flirting is an art, my dear, and I'm merely a master of the craft."

His face twisted with fury, his clenched fists trembling at his sides. "You're mocking me now? You think you can talk back to me?"

A mischievous smile tugged at the corners of my lips as I retorted, "Mocking you? No, my darling. I'm simply reminding you that I am not one to cower and tremble at your drunken antics."

His hand shot out, his grip tight on my arm, and I winced at the searing pain that shot through me. "You will learn your place, Nero. You will learn to submit to me."

I met his gaze, refusing to let fear cloud my eyes. "Submission is not in my vocabulary" I replied.

His anger escalated, his voice dripping with venom. "You're nothing but a disobedient little bitch! I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget."
