I couldn't shake the feeling that something was different today, something that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

The room was quiet, and the only sound was the clinking of silverware against plates and the ticking of the clock. I look up from my breakfast plate. My grandparents, who were usually chatty and full of energy in the morning, seemed to be in a sombre mood, and their eyes were downcast as they ate. I tried to start a conversation, but my words fell flat, and the tension in the room only seemed to grow.

The more I tried to ignore the feeling of unease, the more it seemed to consume me, until I was left with a sense of dread that made my skin crawl.

I realised I couldn't stay in the house any longer. The walls felt like they were closing in on me, and the air was thick with an oppressive silence. I needed to get out. And I needed to get out now. I quickly put my plate away and said my goodbyes to my grandparents. I pick up my bag and leave the house, making my way to my bike.

As I cycled towards school, I couldn't help but notice the grey clouds that hung overhead, casting a shadow over everything. It looked as though it was going to rain soon. Despite my best efforts to clear my mind, a feeling of foreboding had settled over me like a thick, suffocating fog, obscuring my thoughts and making my heart pound.
