it won't now,
maybe it won't tomorrow,
but soon it will,
today it will teach you to retaliate,
to show your fangs,
set your boundaries,
to be more wise,
to choose wisely,
to say you're sorry and own up to it,
to let go,
to heal,
and to forgive,
it will teach you to become a better version of yourself,
and when the pain eases soon,
you will know what to do,
and you will embrace it with loving arms
