You met Melissa at a cafe where she then told you to follow her. Holding your hand so neither of you got lost and stayed together while you roamed the streets. She brought a basket of items and when you asked her about it, she said it was a surprise.

She brought you to the beach where she then laid out a cloth and set a couple of things out. "So, I didn't exactly want to take you to a movie because we'd have to be quiet and all, and I felt like going out for dinner was what everybody did so I wanted to be different." She explained. "So here we are. A picnic at the beach at night."

You smiled as you felt your cheeks heat up. "It's perfect. I like doing things differently and not what the average person did." You replied, leaning forward and pressing a gentle kiss against Melissa's forehead.

Melissa beamed at the gesture as she pulled out a bottle of wine. "I also brought this for us. I know we're underage but who doesn't want to live a little?" She poured two glasses and handed one to you.

The sound of waves crashing against the shore, the gentle breeze and the stars above made for a magical atmosphere. The two of you shared stories such as the things you liked and disliked and plans for the future. It felt like time was standing still and all that mattered was the present moment.

Morty was right, he and Melissa did have a better connection at the time. Now, as you share a meal with this woman, you feel like you know her better than he does. Though you don't want to compete, it's just a feeling you have.

"So, where's your room in the house? I've been inside before when I was hanging out with Morty but I've never seen yours.

"My room is the entire basement. I get heatstroke during the summer if I'm in extreme heat for all hours of the day so I needed to be somewhere cooler." You explained.

"You should show me it next time I come over." Melissa smiled.

You patted her head with your right hand. "Then that I shall do." You nearly burst out laughing. "Sorry, I get a little awkward at times."

"Don't sweat it. If anything, it just adds to your first impression." The female chuckled and finished up the food.

As the two of you tidied up and surprisingly finished the bottle of wine, the two of you took off your shoes and socks, and walked the shoreline of the beach,

holding hands and looking up at the stars. It was a peaceful and quiet moment until Melissa spoke up, breaking the silence.

"You know, I had a lot of fun tonight." She said, turning to look at you with a small smile. "I'm really glad we got to do something different and spend time together."

You couldn't help but grin. "I had fun too. It was definitely a unique experience."Melissa let go of your hand and stepped closer to you, looking up at you with a slightly nervous expression. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, anything." You replied, feeling your heart beating a little faster.

Melissa took a deep breath. "I know we've only hung out a few times, but I feel like we have a really good connection. Would you like to go out on another date with me sometime?"

You stopped walking and grabbed her hand, pulling her closer to you. Your eyes fluttered closed as your head leaned towards hers. Pressing your lips against hers.

You could tell Melissa was shocked, but when you felt her kiss back you figured she wanted this.

After a moment, you slowly pulled away. "Does that answer my question?" You wondered.

"Yes. Yes, it does." The female nodded. "But does this make us a couple now?" She asked.

"Depends on if you want to be in a relationship with me or not." You answered.

She pecked your lips with hers. "I would very much like that."

You nodded and began walking with your new girlfriend.

"So do you have a love language?" You asked.

"I think it would have to be physical touch and quality time. Because I feel quality time is important in a relationship which is what I want. And I feel appreciated when someone does as little holds my hand or hugs me or little things like that." Melissa explained.

You nodded and softy kissed her forehead. "Then I will do as much as I can for you. That's a promise." You spoke.

And just as you said this, your phone went off. Because you don't trust leaving it at home when you're gone.

You pulled out and saw it was Rick who messaged you. You rolled your eyes. "Rick wants me to be home immediately." You sighed.

"I'll come with you!" Melissa exlaimed. Being really happy to be by your side.

"If that's what you want lets go." You commented.

The two of you hurried back to your house where Rick was waiting impatiently for you. "What took you so long?" He grumbled.

"We just went out for a picnic and a walk on the beach." You replied, introducing Melissa to Rick. Rick looked her up and down before turning his attention back to you. "Well, we've got business to attend to. I already have Morty and Summer helping me but I need another person."

You sighed, not really wanting to leave Melissa's company so soon. "Alright, let me change into more comfortable clothing." You said, before turning to Melissa. "I'm sorry, I have to go."

"It's alright, I understand. Text me later?" She asked, giving you a quick peck on the lips. You nodded, feeling a smile forming on your face. "Definitely."

Rick scoffed as he watched. Turning to walk into his garage and wait for you.
