-chapter twenty four-

The following week, Taehyung and Jeongguk hadn't seen eachother very often during the day. Mainly because Taehyung had been filling in shifts at Jin's cafe, and Jeongguk had been working non-stop with multiple appointments. Of course, they texted and had hour-long phone calls, but Taehyung couldn't help but miss the grumpy ravenette.

If felt weird; especially since they'd been pretty much inseparable since talking things out and they began dating. It was still early days for them as a couple, and Taehyung just hoped the other was okay-

"Taehyungieee!"

"Jimin!" The blue haired man nearly choked on his cookie, putting the treat down on the counter in order to catch the blonde that had thrown himself on him. "Warn me next time!"

"Sorry," Jimin snorted, letting go of his taller friend. He swiped Taehyung's half-eaten cookie from the counter and munched on it happily. "I got back from Busan yesterday, thought I'd come and say hello while you're here." He explained, eyes forming crescents as he propped himself up against the counter. "So? Hows the boyfriend? Jin hyung told me about you and Jeongguk."

Taehyung couldn't help but let his lips twitch up as began to make himself drink. "He's... good." He turned his back to his friend, to use the coffee machine, and felt his smile grow. "How was visiting your parents? how are they doing?"

"Same as usual," Jimin groaned, puffing his cheeks. "Eomma wants me to get a boyfriend and bring him with me next time."

"Sounds like mrs park." Taehyung snickered, grabbing his drink and walking around the counter to sit at an empty table for his morning break, Jimin following swiftly. "I don't understand how you're still single. I mean, even Yeonjun and Soobin have starting dating."

"I'm not as attractive as you." Jimin's shoulder's slummed and he looked over at where the two younger boys began to take over the counter. "You're the pretty best friend and those two have been flirting ever since Soobin started here." He pointed out. "Nobody wants to date me."

"Hey, you know you're hot." Taehyung frowned, sipping his coffee. "Ask Jin hyung if you can take a day off." He grinned. "we could go clubbing? Just you and me, yeah? A bestie night out to get you a pretty boy from the club?"

Jimin's lips twitched up. It had been a while since they'd gone to the club together. "I don't know... won't Jeongguk mind?"

"It'll be fine." Taehyung bit the inside of his lip, knowing that Jeongguk wouldn't be happy with the idea of going clubbing, especially given Jeongguk's previous frequent visits with the place. He knew it'd probably be best not to tell him in order to avoid any conflict. Besides, he's only going to help his friend, not any other reason. "If he asks then I'll tell him where I'm going. I won't lie."

"If you're sure, then yeah, let's do it!" Jimin grinned, clapping his hands eagerly. "I can't wait!"

"Don't worry, Jiminie." Taehyung smirked, leaning back in his seat as he looked at his best friend with a tilted head. "We'll find you the hottest man in the club."

Jeongguk was in a bad mood that morning.

It was his day off- the only day off he had that week and he was stuck in his apartment, buried under his bed covers as his eyes focused on the TV that sat ascended on the wall.

It was nearly noon, and his curtains were still drawn shut, his lights off, and the only source of light was the TV as it played Iron man. The ravenette rolled over and huffed, his brows furrowing as he hugged the blankets to his chest. His cigarettes and lighter were discarded somewhere on his mess of a bed, a couple of bottles of alcohol still unopened as they sat awaiting him on the bedside table.

His loneliness brought out his bad habits.

"Gguk, get up, you're coming out with us!"

"Yugyueom?" The ravenette scowled, sitting up and peeling the covers off his legs as his friend's boice filled his apartment. His hair was a mess, his sweatpants rolled up unevenly and his shirt crinkled from his restlessness. "I seriously need to take that key from you.. What are you doing here-"

"Get dressed, Gguks." Yugyeom entered his room with a wide grin, Minjae, Jackson and BamBam following in tow. "You haven't been out in ages! You need some fresh air."

"As if." Jeongguk scoffed, laying back down, pulling his bedcovers up to his chin. "It's my day off, and I'm not going anywhere. I'm waiting for Taehyung. He's coming over after he's finished covering a shift at the Cafe."

"Taehyung?" Minjae's brows rose and he walked forward, plopping himself down on the bed. He reached his arm down, fondly ruffling Jeongguk's hair as he realised. "So you took hyung's advice afterall, good boy ggukie!"

"Oi." Jeongguk slapped his hand away and pulled the covers of his head, stubbornly. "Don't think I'm going out... but, uh, you can.. stay here if you want. I don't mind your company."

"Taehyung's changed you." Yugyeom snorted as the three of them joined Jeongguk on his bed, the king sized mattress being big enough for all of them to be comfortable. "He's already doing you good, huh?"

"I know." Jeongguk mumbled softly as they all sat against the headboard. He gently rest his head on BamBam's shoulder, sharing the bed cover with his three friends. "He's... too good for me."
