When we were young

(Charles and Victoria are turning 14)

"What if when we get older we break up and forget about each other?" I say laying down at the end of Charles' bed looking over at him.

"No that would never happen." He says moving his eyes away from his book. "We should start a pact just in case though." He says as he puts the book down beside him.

"And what would that pact be?" I say starting to sit up. "If we're both not married by the time we're 25 we have to get married. Under any circumstance"

I looked at him like he was crazy. 25 is so far away we're probably not going to remember this pact, but I agree anyways. "Sure" I say sticking out my pinky to promise.

"We're not pinky promising on a pact! We'll get bracelets to show that we actually mean it" he says picking up his book again. And I go back to laying down as I turn on his TV.

He actually bought bracelets. There surprisingly super cute. Now the pact is set in stone. If I'm not married by the time I'm 25 I'm marrying Charles.

(Charles and Victoria are turning 19)

I've been crying all day. Me and Charles broke up earlier this morning. He wanted to focus on his racing. I mean I don't blame him he's got so much talent and could start a professional career.

I'm just heartbroken since I thought our relationship was going strong. I guess I was wrong. It's almost been 5 years since we got together and almost 5 years since we made the marriage pact.

But now I guess that was just a moment of the past when we were young.
