Tonight’s dinner was probably the most bizarre dinner Xiang Yi Mo had ever had in her entire life.

Why did she say so?

Because the dinner was… a little too quiet, so quiet that one could only hear the sound of chopsticks being dropped.

This made Xiang Yi Mo a little uneasy.

It was not like she hadn’t eaten with the three before. At that time, she had dined with Qin Chu and the three.

But she hadn’t noticed that the three of them had the habit of eating without saying anything.

After dinner, the men divided up the work of washing the dishes, cleaning up the kitchen and dining room and then came into the living room and sat beside her.

Xiang Yi Mo knew that “what comes around goes around.” As expected, there was something in store for her.

Xiang Yi Mo plastered a smile and laughed dryly twice.

“Erm…. Lu Wang Chen and Ji Heng Yu, it’s getting very late, and we have also entertained you. Why aren’t the two of you leaving?”

Ji Heng Yu’s eyebrows twitched slightly, and his long fingers wrapped around a strand of her hair, “You’re driving us away?”

“No–No.” Her soft voice trembled.

Xiang Yi Mo squinted at the strand of hair around his knuckles and inexplicably had…

An illusion that the heat from his hot fingers touching her hair could be transmitted.

“Can Mo Mo tell us why Jing Qian is staying at your house?” The low voice sounded like some thick, melodious cello playing across from her.

Jing Qian happened to be carrying a plate of washed and cut fruit.

He sat down next to the little girl and glanced up at his best friend sitting across from him. He really wanted to kick them out.

Xiang Yi Mo’s peach blossom eyes blinked.

“If I say it is to cure an illness….”

Cure an illness?

These words made both of them dumbfounded, and the first thought that popped up in their mind was Jing Qian being entrusted with visiting her while she was unwell.

“You’re sick?” Those two spoke in unison.

The first thought was that the little girl was ill, and their worry rippled out with the words that came out of their mouths.

Xiang Yi Mo’s pupils shook slightly, and her breathing lightened. Suddenly, she raised her voice, “It’s not me! I’m not sick!”

She bit her lip gently. Her small hands on her lap squeezed tighter. Although her forced composure quickly concealed these overreactions, all three men present noticed it. The eyes of Jing Qian, who knew about this, darkened.

“It’s not me,” Xiang Yi Mo repeated. “It’s Jing Qian. He has insomnia. He probably can only sleep when I’m around him.”

After saying that, she looked at Jing Qian as if she was afraid that the two men wouldn’t believe her. She sought an affirmation, “Right, Jing Qian?”

Jing Qian looked at the little girl beside him and instantly concealed the heaviness in his eyes, calmly giving his affirmation.

Lu Wang Chen’s gaze became sharp, flicking back and forth between the two of them. But he didn’t say he didn’t believe them.

He let out a low, soft sigh. “So that’s how it is.”

Of course, he and Ji Heng Yu knew about it long ago. The fact that Jing Qian had insomnia was not a secret among the four of them, just like Ji Heng Yu’s gynophobia.

So they believed Xiang Yi Mo’s words. But… Mo Mo’s reaction just now was a bit strange.

Perhaps, there is something else going on.

An unspoken intuition then told them this. They both looked indifferently at Jing Qian, who was silent.

Lu Wang Chen averted his gaze and continued, “So, since you can keep Jing Qian in your house for treatment. Actually, I’m also sick. Can Mo Mo also let me stay at your house and treat my illness?”

Xiang Yi Mo appeared to be surprised. “You’re sick?”

It just so happened that the man said it solemnly.

“Yes, I’m sick, and I’m very sick.”

“Then you should go see a doctor!”

“I’ve seen one. But Mo Mo, you’re the only one who can cure it.”

“This… Why are the two of you like this?”

Xiang Yi Mo’s tiny face was filled with confusion. After pausing for a moment, she looked at Ji Heng Yu. “Ji Heng Yu, don’t tell me that you are going to say you also have an illness that only I can cure too, right?”

Ji Heng Yu, who had been named, looked at Xiang Yi Mo. The look of sincerity in his eyes did not appear to be fake, and an “mm” sound spilt out of his throat.

Thus, Xiang Yi Mo was completely silent on the surface.
