Qin Chu’s gaze fell on Xiang Yi Mo’s face.
For a moment, he was dumbfounded. For another moment, he came to a realisation. Then, he was fired with enthusiasm, and an indescribable sadness surged through him.
Does… he have a chance? Will it be too late… if he tells her that he has always liked her when she wakes up later, but he had just been too stupid to realise?
If it was before, Qin Chu dared to say that if he reached out to Mo Mo, Mo Mo would definitely run to him without a doubt.
But now, he suddenly wasn’t sure.
Qin Chu gazed at Xiang Yi Mo. The hurtful words Xiang Yi Mo had said to him in his face without caring about his feelings were as vivid as if she had just sarcastically said them to him the previous second.
Every word that formed those sentences returned to him as if a freshly sharpened knife had cut into his heart.

Xiang Yi Mo was unconscious for longer than she had been before.
Although like her previous episodes, she did not appear to be in a life-threatening condition, Jing Qian was worried about her health and did not let Lu Wang Chen and Ji Heng Yu take her back. Instead, he transferred her to a VIP ward for observation.
At this moment, four men who used to be close were gathered together.

They didn’t want Mo Mo to wake up and see Qin Chu later, even if Mo Mo had promised to be their girlfriend and had decided to give up on Qin Chu, forget about him and leave him.
If Qin Chu had remained deluded, they would have been able to tolerate it. But after Jing Qian talked to him, they discovered that Qin Chu had suddenly come to his senses and wanted to graze in the old pasture. <sup>[2]</sup>

So this variable, Qin Chu, made them wary.
Jing Qian’s gaze was a few degrees colder as he remained silent.
Qin Chu suppressed his worries about Xiang Yi Mo, not forgetting to send messages to his subordinates while waiting. In a deliberately derisive tone, he asked, “So you guys can be scared too, huh?”

Qin Chu cursed, “Fuck the ‘to everyone’s delight and satisfaction’.”
