“Especially when it comes to staging an accident [1] and throwing dirt on me, which you are indeed good at. Don’t worry, Miss Qi. Congratulations on your success. I’m leaving Shangcheng today.”

Xiang Yi Mo said frostily. Just then, she suddenly heard the system tell her that Qin Chu was approaching. Her black and white eyes rolled around.

The indifferent petite face naturally articulated emotions such as anger and resignation without any violation. She deliberately acted like she couldn’t conceal her feelings, using them as bait to cast them out.

“Miss Qi, are you satisfied now? You stole my fiancé and drove me out of Shangcheng!”

Xiang Yi Mo’s eyes gradually turned red, and her voice grew louder. “You’re clearly the shameless mistress!”

Qi Yan was slightly surprised. She looked at the formerly arrogant young lady in front of her as she gradually broke down. It turned out that Qin Chu had told the young lady to go up there to drive her out? She was instantly relieved.

The more distressed Xiang Yi Mo was, the more refreshed she felt.

She unconsciously took on a victorious stance and looked past her with contempt. Her voice was laced with malice.

“Miss Xiang, as far as I know you are not engaged, isn’t that so? So Qin Chu can’t be considered your fiancé. How can I be considered to have stolen your fiancé then?”

“Besides, it’s not like I can control things like feelings. Qin Chu doesn’t like you, and there’s nothing I can do about it.”

As Qi Yan spoke, she was so delighted that she laughed uncontrollably.

Xiang Yi Mo glared at her fiercely with red eyes.

“You’ve clearly repeatedly acted in front of people in order to steal Elder Brother Chu, doing everything and still pretending to be innocent.”

“Why did you steal my Elder Brother Chu?! Why did you set me up like that?! How dare you! How dare you!”

The more the young girl spoke, the more agitated she became, and the miserable look on the verge of madness fell into Qi Yan’s eyes, which was particularly refreshing to Qi Yan inwardly.

As no one else was around, the words that followed were more and more undisguised, “Why? Miss Xiang is really a nobleman who forgets things!”

She sneered and told the story behind their feud.

It turned out that Qi Yan was senior to Xiang Yi Mo by two years.

Because of her good looks and the fact that she had always shown herself to be gentle and kind, she was noticed, well-liked, and the School Flower. [2]

But as soon as Xiang Yi Mo appeared, she stole the title of the School Flower and the crowd’s attention.

Xiang Yi Mo was well-known for her looks. As people paid attention to her, they found out that she didn’t live on campus in her freshman year and lived in a mansion outside, with luxury cars coming to pick her up and drop her off every day.

The clothes on her body were always different every day. In the forums, people discussed what Miss Xiang was wearing from head to toe every day.

Qi Yan went from envy to jealousy.

So what if she is a young lady from a rich family?

It’s just that she was born into a good family!

What made Qi Yan even more furious was that even though Xiang Yi Mo had usually robbed her of so many things, she had even stolen her long-time boyfriend!

Her boyfriend told her he was breaking up with her because he liked someone else.

He was determined to break up with her despite their relationship for so many years and in spite of her persistently urging him to stay.

Qi Yan’s boyfriend of many years was a rich young man from a wealthy family who usually treated Qi Yan very well.

Without her wealthy boyfriend, Qi Yan’s standard of living deteriorated at once.

Qi Yan’s family was average, and her appetite became bigger because of her boyfriend, so she couldn’t afford to change her lifestyle from extravagant to frugal.

Therefore, whenever she looked at Xiang Yi Mo, who was in the limelight, she compared her situation to her own and became increasingly resentful of Xiang Yi Mo, who 'stole” her boyfriend.

[1] 碰瓷(pèngcí)-Staged act/to scam somebody by setting up an “accident” in which one appears to have sustained damage or injury caused by the scam victim, then demanding compensation. The variation of these incidents include putting “expensive” porcelain in a place where it is likely to be knocked over by passers-by, and stepping into the path of a slow-moving car. Thus, it sort of relates to its literal translation of the words ‘touching or bumping(碰) porcelain(瓷)’.

[2] 校花(xiàohuā)- School flower/prettiest girl in the school.
