I'm back!

Enjoy!

Dirty dirty smut ahead.

Also a long one!

Next morning

I woke up. Blissful joy immediately struck my body. Until the spot beside me was empty and cold.

He was gone.

Of course.

Why would anything be different now?

I confessed my love to him. That's why.

Wait, He loves me?

I began reminiscing about the night before. Why do I feel like this? Was it a dream?

"This is real."

As I slowly made my way up, I wrapped my body around the sheet that covered me through the night and went into the bathroom.

There, I decided to forget it and go on about my day.

Could I?

Kitchen

Sammy and Danny sat around the kitchen island as Josh was cooking.

"Good morning! Wow, (y/n), you are glowing!" Sammy smirks.

Oh, God.

"Good morning, (y/n)!" Danny says, joyful with a cheeky smile. "Good morning, Daniel. Good morning, Josh," I say, ignoring Sammy's comment. "Oh wow! I complimented you, and you dismissed me!" Sam tells you, completely faux-offended.

"Good morning, Samuel. Yes, thank you. I just showered," I scoffed sarcastically, making Danny and Josh chuckle.

"Well, good morning to you, mama! How did you sleep?" Josh asks genuinely. "I slept well! Thank you for asking! How did you sleep? I know Sammy might have given you a hard time," I pout. "HEY!" Sammy shouts.

"It was alright, just like old times!"

"Oh, I slept like a baby!" Danny adds. "I bet."

"What about you, Jacob?" Josh asks, pointing his chin behind me.

I froze.

"Oh... I- I slept wonderfully. I haven't obtained good sleep like that since I can recall!" Jake replies, sitting down beside me.

"Hm, looks like we're off to a promising start! Aren't we all?" Josh states. We all nod.

After a somewhat quiet breakfast, I sat on the couch. My journal is in hand, as always. I had filled three pages with observations I cannot express out loud.

I wondered if I had done something wrong.

Why wasn't he there? Why hasn't he spoken to me?

I gasped.

Did he regret it?

"What's wrong?" Josh sat down beside me once again. "Oh. Uh- it's nothing! I need to grab another pen. This one is almost out," I say, only half lying. I did need a new pen, but that was the least of my worries. "How about we put the notes away and enjoy our time today? Come on," he takes my hand, pulling me up. "We didn't necessarily come out here to stay in, did we?" he smirks.

"Fine."

-

"Well, it looks like we're waiting off the lake!" Danny states, making everyone look up at the gloomy sky.
