Levi x Reader: I Just Want To Protect You

A/N: Summer is only a couple days away so get ready for more one-shots!

-- (Your POV)

Today, Commander Erwin announced that in one week, the Scout Regiment will be leaving outside the walls for a mission. So until then, everyone is preparing. Commander Erwin assigned me to Levi's squad. And surprisingly, he didn't complain. "Captain Levi!" I caught up with him. "Do you mind if I help feed the horses to make sure that they are fed and healthy for the mission?" I asked. "No." I raised my eyebrows, "Captain, you've said no to anything I've asked. Is there anything I can do?" He looked at me, "go rest." I sighed, "you've made me 'rest' for the past couple days. Are you sure?" He glared, "are you questioning my motives?" I sighed, "no Captain." I turned back, "if you want to be helpful..." I turned around hopefully, "yes?" He looked, "you can recount the amount of people going." Again? I nodded sadly, "yes Captain." Then I did as I was told.

- One Day Before The Mission -

I sat down with Eren and placed each blade in each blade holder to kill titans. "Eren?" I asked. "Yes?" I sighed, "do you think I'm useless?" He shook his head, "not at all. You're such a great help. And your titan killing skills are amazing." I smiled, "thanks." He nodded, "yeah. Why?" I sighed, "I'm pretty sure Captain Levi thinks I'm useless." Eren glared a bit, "well you can tell Captain Levi to take this blade and shove it up his--" "Y/N!" I looked at the door. Levi. "That's too dangerous. You might drop a blade and cut yourself. Recount the people going." I stood up, "Captain Levi. You think I'm useless. Don't you?" He shook his head, "no, I don't. Now do as you're told." I glared, "then why are you making me do the useless stuff?! I want to help too! I joined the Scout Regiment to help humanity! Not to sit by and watch!" Levi glared, "you'll thank me one day!" I shouted back, "for what?! All you're doing is nagging me about how dangerous stuff can be! I'm not a child or your kid sister!" Levi shouted, "do as you're told or you're not going on the mission!" I sighed, "fine!" Then I left the room.

- Day of the mission -

It was early in the morning and people were lining up and getting on their horses. Again, I took roll of the people going. "Head out!" Shouted the Commander. Then we all rode off on our horses.

Halfway through the mission, Squad Levi heard strange rumblings. "Captain, I think we should look around." He shook his head, "just stay by me the whole time." I sighed, that's what you've assigned me to do this whole mission. Then there was another. "Captain, I think Y/N is right. We should look." Said Petra. "Quiet." Responded Levi. She looked at me and glared. What's her problem? This time, the rumbling was hard enough to freak out the horses. "Stop." Commanded Levi. We all stopped and looked. I had a bad feeling about this. "Titan!" Said Gunter. Then, a titan appeared. It was about a six meter. It brought along three other titans around its size. "Let's kill them." Levi said as he brought out his blade. I smirked, finally, some action around here. I brought out my blade, "take this!" I ran the blade across the titan's weak spot and it dropped dead. Then, more rumblings. That means more titans. "Dammit! Where are they all coming from?" I continued to help kill the titans. "Ahh!" I looked over to Petra. Her 3DMG missed grasping onto a tree. "I'm coming!" I shouted. Then, I felt arms grab onto me. Levi. "Captain!" I shouted. Then I looked up. A titan dropped dead onto the floor. In that moment I realized, I was about to be grabbed by a titan, and about to be eaten. I almost felt like fainting. I was about to be eaten! I was about to die! Levi gently put me on the ground, out of sight of the titans. "Are you okay? Are you hurt? Any scratches or bruises?" I looked at Levi and did something that I'd never thought that I would do. I hugged him. "Thank you Captain! Thank you so much! Thank you for saving me!" I felt the tears run down my cheeks. He hugged back then let go so that I may see him. "Call me Levi." I smiled, "thank you, Levi. But I think I have to go help Petra." He shook his head, "don't worry about her now. What matters is that I keep you safe. I'm sorry I said no all the time. I just want to protect you." I smiled again, "thanks for protecting me, even thought it wasn't so great." Levi smirked, "I'll protect you better then." Then, he made a really unexpected move. He kissed my, it was quick, he he kissed me then flew off on his 3dmg. - The End -
