"see you tomorrow, Aria!" Aaron half yelled across the cubicle office.
she smiled and waved as she strutted out the doors and down the hall to the lobby.
she decided that it being Friday, she'd take the afternoon off. it was something she hardly ever did so Aaron didn't argue with her when she had asked. she was gorgeous and absolutely adorable too, Aaron couldn't say no to her.
she lived close to Mattel, it was only a twenty minute walk through the LA park.
as she walked through the park she remembered the incredible sight she had seen earlier that morning. neon roller blades, huh. she thought.
"hey baby! that's a nice rack you've got there!" she flinched at those words, hoping they weren't directed at her.
of course they were though. she turned to face a man who was biting his lip and looking her up and down. she gaged loudly.
"you're disgusting!" she spat as she started walking away in an attempt to get away from the cat caller.
"aw c'mon baby!" he responded. she didn't turn around, she just kept her head forward and continued walking away. from the sound of his voice, she could tell he was following her.
"babe please!" who does he think he is? she wondered, upping the pace.
she noticed the middle school across the street and figured no one would mind if she hid out there to get away from the creep.
she clenched her fists, waiting for the sign to let her cross the busy street.
"why're ya running away from me, sweetheart?" the man asked, appearing beside her. she jumped away, and noticing the sign changed began running across the street.
she kept running through the field of the middle school until she found an entrance and stumbled inside. students were rushing around carrying books and backpacks, parents were chatting and teachers were walking around with cups of hot coffee in their hands.
average middle school, she giggled to herself.
she glanced down and noticed her palms were sweaty and she was shaky all over.
she was used to being catcalled, i mean she lived in Los Angeles, it was normal.
but nonetheless, it scared her every time. she was only 23 and she lived alone with a small, loud dog which she loved but who would never be able to defend her against anything.
of course she was scared of a creepy guy following through the park.
she slowly began wandering down the hall, attempting to get past the large groups of kids and parents. she saw a sign that read 'Library' and decided it would be a good idea to go there and regain her steadiness.
she stumbled inside, feeling lightheaded and plopped down in a comfy couch chair.
she placed her hand on her forehead and took in a deep breath. as she let it out, she leaned back, laying down on the little couch.
