Missing You

Jisung woke up to noise outside his room. He fully awakens when that noise is someone crying. He quickly gets up and went to go see who was crying.

"Jeon, what's wrong? Why is Hyeji crying?"
"She said she wants to see Felix."

Jisung walks up to her and crouches down.
"Do you wanna talk to your mommy?"

Hyeji nods.
Jisung gets his phone and face times Felix. He hands it to her.

"You'll see your mommy on here."
She nods.

"Hello?", Felix answers.
"M-mommy."
"Hyeji? What's wrong, sweetie?"

"I m-miss y-you."
"Aw, I miss you too. Do you want to see your daddy?"

She nods then Minho comes on the screen.

"Hi, cutie. Are you having fun?"
"Mmm.", she hums.
"We miss you too. Don't cry. Be strong ok?"

Hyeji sniffles and wipes her tears.

"Where's your sister?", Felix asks.
"I think she's sleeping.", Jisung said.

"Why? It's almost noon."
"I'll go see."

Jisung went to the room she was sleeping in and looked in. Haejin was entertaining herself by playing with her toys.

"Haejin, your mom is on the phone."
"Weally?", she came running and follows Jisung to Jeongin's room.

She sits down next to her sister.

"Hi, mommy!"
"There's my JinJin. Are you having fun over there?"

"Ya."
"Are you watching over your sister?"

"Ya."

"I have a surprise for you two when we get back.", Minho jumps in. Both Haejin's and Hyeji's faces lit up.

"Wut is it?", Haejin asks.
"You'll see. Be good ok? We'll be home soon."

"Ok!"
"We love you bye."
"Byeeee!"

The call ends.

Felix slumps on the bed after putting his phone down.

"Are you ok?"
"Sigh, yeah. It's just...just.."
"You wanna go back?"

"I wanna do this, but should we go back?"
"If you want, we can."

"No, it's fine. Let's stay. I'll just feel the same way when they go off to college."

"They will be alright. Promise."

"Oh, come on. Seriously?", Jisung spoke out.
"What?", answered Seungmin.

"Felix said to take pictures of his kids every hour and send it to him."

"He probably wants to make sure you're not doing anything you're not supposed to."

"I would never.", he scoffed.
"We are literally going to get ice cream. Felix said no sweets."

"Correction. He said no sweets after dinner. And this is lunch time."

"They didn't even lunch yet."
"Which is..what we're doing first."
Seungmin sighs.

Seungmin went with Jisung to take the twins to the zoo. During the whole weekend, Jisung has been spoiling them which is against Felix's rules. Today was the last day the twins will spend with them before their parents come back tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Felix was with his husbands when Jisung sent him a picture of himself with Seungmin and the twins in front of an aquarium.

Everyone was smiling at the camera except Hyeji, who was looking somewhere else.

"Hyun, look what Ji sent me." Felix shows Hyunjin the picture.
"Awe, they look happy. Hyeji isn't looking."

"Maybe she's camera shy."
"Was that at the zoo?"
"I think so, yeah."

"Are you excited to go back tomorrow?", Hyunjin sits across from him at the table.

"Yeah, I'm happy and excited. And, I'm glad the three of us got to do this also."

"Me too. Wait. Where's Minho?"
"Probably still sleeping."
"He must be tired."

"After last night, I'd be shocked if he wasn't."
"How does he put up with us?"

The twins were playing in the sandbox at the playground, with Jisung and Seungmin watching.

"Jinny? I want to be home."
"We can soon."
Hyeji starts to cry.

"Daddy say do not cry. Stop.", Haejin wipes her tears away.
Hyeji nods.

"Look. A rock!", Haejin picks it up and hands it to her sister.
"It is lucky?"

"Mhm. Keep it." Hyeji smiles and places the rock in her pocket. She stands and walks over to Seungmin.

"What's wrong, Hyeji?"
She frowns and steps closer.
"Are you thirsty?", Seungmin gives her water bottle.

She drinks some then gives it back to Seungmin before walking back.

"She's still shy."
"Hmfph.", Jisung pouts.
"What's with the pout?"

"Cause she went to you and not me."
"So?"

"So, she's still scared of me."
"No she's not."
"Yes she is. Why? I'm nice."

"Ask her then."

"I try to talk to her, but didn't say anything and every time I get close she runs away."

"Oh, I guess she is scared of you."
"Seungmin, that's not helping."

"Don't worry. She'll warm up to you." Seungmin holds his hand in comfort.

After the playground, they went home and Jisung and Seungmin gave the twins their bath before they took a nap. Jisung sent a picture to Felix of them playing in the bathtub and when they were at the playground.

"Ok, let's go.", Felix said sternly.
"Go? Go where?", Minho replies.
"Home."

"Why? What happened? Are the twins ok?", Hyunjin asks worriedly.
"Look.", Felix shows them the picture of the twins in the bathtub.

"Do you know what's missing?"
"Uh..."

"Us. We're supposed to be there with our kids, creating wonderful memories like this. It only a matter of time before they grow up and not need us anymore. And, I want be there with them for every moment til that day comes."

"You're right. Let's go back.", Hyunjin agrees.
"Spoken like a true mother.", Minho adds.

"Let's go get our kids."
