chapter 14- Sadness

I blink slowly

"Ok, when do you start?" I ask her calmly

She looks startled by my calmness but quickly responds as if worried that I would change my mind. Which I wouldn't. But she didn't know that.

" we where going to start right away. Midnight was going to separate his wolf and human forms so he can train both of us at the same time, right?" She asks Midnight

"Yeah, that's the plan at least. But Mystic, my human mind is in control. My wolf self isn't quite patient as I am. You'll have to show him your rank. By fighting until one bows down to the other. Understand, mystic? It will be no easy task." He explains to me

I nod absently. I could do this, I had fought Midnight before. Even before I had trained.

"When do we start?" I ask again

"Now, come on. We'll have to find a big enough clearing for two wolves the size of horses to fight and two humans in the same place" Midnight continued ad he shifts to his human form. I quickly look away, I still don't feel comfortable with hearing the bones crunch and move around. But, the results were awesome. I looked back to find Midnight staring back at me.

"Come on you guys, let's get you out of here" he tells us

He strides towards the door he was about to open it when he stopped suddenly. The door flew open. revealing the wolf that had come barging into my room.

It was Pine.

I growl at her, but stop in the middle of it, seeing her expression ,her amber eyes where filled with concern and worry.She was panting heavily and her tongue was out. She gave a surprised look at Midnights human form and Lily. But then turned to me

"Mystic, help me. Alpha Storm is missing. He left without anyone knowing and hasn't come back since he dropped you off. I don't know where he is or if he's even ok. He hasn't said anything at all. No howls, no scent marks. But we did pick up a human scent right after Storm's disappeared. I think he's been captured" she said it all in a rush.

Since she said it so fast I had to go back and listen to it replay in my mind. But once it sunk in I was almost out of my mind.

"He's gone? He just left? He.... He left me... how could.. no, that's not true.... He wouldn't just get up and leave. Would he?" I ask to no one in particular.

Pine limped towards me " mystic, you seem to know him more than even I do, I know your feelings to him. And..more.. But we need that knowledge to see where he is."

I shook my head, I still couldn't believe he just got up and left. After I told him my feelings to him and when he admitted I was his mate and that he was ok with it. He just couldn't... yes, he was honest to me. Yes he was alpha, yes I knew he was a werewolf, yes I knew being his mate would be risky. But why just leave all the sudden like that? I don't know. But I planned on having a serious talk with him, if and when we found him. I just knew nothing would stop me from finding him, nothing could hold me back. My only mate, one wolf, he changed my life. I had to get him back.

" Send patrols to follow the human scent, make sure they report back to me when they come back. Talk to anyone else that knows him well. We are going to find him, no matter the cost. Pine, you know his scent well." Especially since you keep rubbing on him I think to myself " go with the patrol, you should go immediately, before the scent fades away. Midnight, get the pack to spread the news. Make sure the other packs don't know, or else they'll attack while he's away. Lily, go get the other werewolves and go into town. See if you can find Evan there." I say to everyone
