Average wizard, average life. That's how Minho would describe himself. Not better than anyone else, not worse that anyone else. But he knew he wasn't normal, never was and never will be, that's how he liked it.

Minho Lee, the eldest son of the Lee family, born 25th October 1998, just after the Battle of Hogwarts. Born with bright purple hair that immeditaly told the healers at St Mungo's that he was a metamorphmagus.

Being a metamorphmagus was definitely Minho's favourite thing about himself, even if his parents hated that they had to keep him hidden from the muggle village they lived in for the first few years of his life. Minho only existed to his parents, the Hwang family and the Seos, the wizarding families in the village.

When Minho was old enough to understand, his mother taught him that to go outside he would have to change his hair to a duller colour such as brown or blond, and he'd have to make sure that all of his body was made of human features. "Wouldn't want to scare the muggles away now, do we?"

By this point, his younger brother Felix was a toddler, growing into a small child, and would giggle at everything Minho did, and would giggle every time their mother said the word 'muggle'. Felix was the light of Minho's life; even as they grew up, even as their interests changed, even as Felix grew closer and closer with Changbin and Hyunjin, Minho couldn't help but be so in love with his younger brother.

Finally being allowed outside by himself gave Minho a freedom he never knew existed, the little village he lived in was little to say the least. There were only ten houses, a post office that was also a shop and pharmacy in one and finally a small town hall that acted as a primary school for the few children in the village.

It was old-fashioned in Minho's opinion but it shaped him into who he was. The freedom of going down to the pond by the Hwang's house, exploring the outskirts of the woods and finding the tree that was infested by bowtruckles.

That's where Minho got his first magical creature, a bowtruckle that had taken a liking to Minho's presence and refused to leave Minho's hands when he had to go back home.

So a few days later, eight-year-old Minho asked his parents as politely as possible if he could bring the bowtruckle back home. It took a lot of convincing but eventually they gave in.

Minho introduced Dori to the terrarium he made as soon as he could, the bowtruckle making it his home. To begin with, he was worried that taking Dori away from his home tree would have a negative effect on his lifespan, however, his parents found a magizoologist who answered all of his questions, Minho found out that based on Dori's behaviours it was highly likely that he had seen the terrarium as his new 'home tree', essentially assuring Minho that Dori would be just fine.

When a few years later, Minho received his Hogwarts letter at last. It felt more special than he imagined it would, he knew this moment, he knew what the letter said, knew what he'd need to get, knew that no matter what it would happen. Yet when the letter came, he couldn't get rid of the giddy feeling in his chest.

He kept his promise of waiting for everyone to be home and awake to open it. Even if it meant that for the first time in forever he became frustrated with how long it took Felix to wake up, but the frustration left when they were all sat around the dining table as Minho carefully opened the letter.

The lights started flickering around him and the dishes on the table clattered with anticipation.
Minho couldn't help but laugh "Father please stop, you're going to set Felix off at the dinner table."

When he realised what he was doing, their father did stop, but what they couldn't stop was Felix's giggles. Thankfully giggles was better than anything else.
And once his giggles had died down, it was Felix who was the one to beg Minho to read his letter out loud.
