Y/n singing
Phantom singing.
—————————————————————————————————————I slowly begin to regain consciousness after a while. It all felt like a dream, but now I see that it was all real. The Phantom of the Opera. He's real and I'm in his lair.

The last thing I recall was him showing me a mannequin of me in a wedding dress and veil. I hear music coming from near me. It sounds like a music box. I peer through the lace curtain and see a monkey music box.

I pull the drawstring and the curtains rise as the music stops. I climb out of the giant swan bed and walk out of the room.

"I remember there was mist
Swirling mist upon a vast, glassy lake
There were candles all around
And on the lake, there was a boat
And in the boat, there was a man."

I look at the boat, which is docked on the shore. I then turn my gaze onto the Phantom, who is sat at his organ. He turns to face me as he hears me singing. The then turns back to his organ and plays a soft tune.

"Who was that shape in the shadows?
Whose is the face in the mask?"

I continue as I climb the stair to the Phantom. I slowly approach him and place a hand on his broad shoulder. I place my other hand on his cheek and he leans into my hand as though he has never been touched by a woman before.

I then lift my hand from his shoulder and place it over his mask. He's so distracted by my touch that he doesn't notice what I'm doing. My hand on his cheek caresses his jaw and I stroke my thumb over his cheekbone.

Then, I gently remove his mask from his face, only to see the reason he was hiding it. Scars and deformities cover the masked side of his face. He gasps, now realising what I did, and covers his face. He shoves me off him as he jumps away angrily.

"Damn you!
You little prying Pandora!
You little demon
Is this what you wanted to see?
Curse you!
You little lying Delilah!
You little viper
Now you cannot ever be free!"

He angrily sings, as he pulls a curtain off a mirror to look into it, however he shuns away from it, covering his face.

"Damn you!
Curse you!"

He mumbles staring away from me.

"Stranger than you dreamt it
Can you even dare to look
Or bear to think of me?
This loathsome gargoyle, who burns in hell
But secretly yearns for heaven
Secretly...Secretly
Y/n."

He whispers my name as he stares at the mannequin of me.

"Fear can turn to love—you'll learn to see
To find the man behind the monster
This repulsive carcass, who seems a beast
But secretly dreams of beauty
Secretly...Secretly
Oh, Y/n."

He weeps as he falls to his knees near me, still hiding his face. I feel a great deal of sadness wash over me as I watch this broken man weep over something he can't control. I look back down at the mask in my hands and feel a sense of guilt for taking it off without his permission.

Gently, I hold out my hand, offering him his mask back, making sure he doesn't feel uncomfortable. He takes it off me and turns away to put it on. "Come, we must return. Those two fools who run my theatre will be missing you." He breathes out looking away from me.

I get up and walk closer to him. He stares down at me, looking afraid of my next action. I gently take his hands in mine and smile up at him. "You're not a monster, nor a beast, nor a carcass, nor a gargoyle. You cannot help being the way you are." I whispers, caressing his cheek which isn't covered by the mask.

He closes his eyes again and leans into my touch. "And what is that?" He mumbles. "An angel. An angel who God has not been kind to, who is shunned from the world for his beauty. You are shunned by others therefore you feel the need to hide. Please don't hide, My Angel Of Music." I beg.

"I'm no angel." He utters, shocked at my words. "You're my angel." I smile. "The world has been cruel to you, hasn't it?" I whisper, earning a nod. I kiss his cheek and wrap my arms around his waist.

"You'll never have to be alone again." I coo. "Say you'll share with me one love, one lifetime. Lead me, save me from my solitude. Say you want me with you here beside you. Anywhere you go, let me go too,
Y/n that's all I ask of you!" He begs.

"You never have to hide from me, you know that right? My Angel." I whisper, nuzzling into his neck, causing him to freeze up. "Take your time, I want you to be comfortable to show me your face." I smile into the crook of his neck.

"Please tell me I'm not dreaming. I can't bare the thought of waking up and this not being real." He begs. "This is real, Angel. I promise you." I whisper. "I must go though. I'll be back, I swear." I vow. "Please, do." He grins.

I pull away from his neck and stare into his deep blue eyes. I slowly lean up and place a gentle kiss on his lips. His eyes flutter closed as he bring his hand up to cup my cheek. We both pull back, gasping for air and rest our foreheads together. We stare at each other and I, leaning back in, tug his bottom lip between my teeth.

"Come to my room tonight. We'll have more time then. Knock on the mirror three times so I know it's you." I beg. "I will." He rasps. I lean in and kiss him once again. "Goodbye for now, handsome." I whisper and head back up through the catacombs.

I finally reach my room and I climb through the mirror. I close my mirror and turn around only to see Madame Giry staring at me. "Oh! Madame Giry!" I gasp shocked, unable to come up with an excuse for being in my mirror.

"It's fine girl. I know of him." She tells me. I sigh in relief. She walks over to me and checks me over. "Madame, What is the matter?" I ask. "Are you hurt?" She asks. "No madame." I chuckle.

"As long as he treats you right." She smiles softly. Wow this is the first time I've seen her smile. "I got you the rest of the night off. Nobody will bother you tonight." She ensures. "Thank you, Madame!" I grin.

Tonight will be perfect. I will spend the night with my Angel and bask in his love.
