Ch.8 : Lord did it scare them

It has been three months since her internship. Rose considers herself very lucky that her parents didn't lash out at her and caused her some severe injuries in the time span. Of course the mental torture and her normal not so normal physical injuries were caused but they were easy to hide. Nothing major happened for anyone to doubt her. As of her Internship....it wasn't just a place of work for her anymore . It was her place of escape....her place of living and not just surviving. She found immense peace in tha place. She felt so appreciated and loved. She felt so....safe....not only in that place..but with Mr. Stark. She felt like he completed a missing part in her life but couldn't figure out what. Everytime they worked together it was always fun. Mr. Stark helping her with her work while goofing around. In between work they would feast on cheeseburgers . It felt so...good so...nice to have someone laugh not AT her but WITH her. Someone who understood her. Someone who didn't think of her as a freak. Someone who focused on how good she is at what she does instead of being stuck at that one fact that she can't walk. Someone so new yet somehow so similar to her. She felt connected with Mr. Stark like a daughter is to her father. And Lord did it scare her

On the other hand it didn't go unnoticed by the Avengers a somewhat huge change in Tony's behaviour. He was so much more pleasant, so much more friendly. They noticed how he didn't drink glasses after glasses of alcohol anymore. He was so much more energetic and so much more ....happy. It was like he was still the old Tony who cared for all of them deep within his heart but found it hard to express ....but somewhere he learnt how to show that. All the avengers cared for him equally...they all loved him and wanted him to share more but were never successful but something...something changed him for the better. They just have to figure out what it was.

As for Tony. He didn't even realised how attached he had gotten to the tiny wheelchair ridden intern with bambi like eyes and a brain so sharp. She felt like his......daughter....it may have been too strong of a word for him but he couldn't neglect how happy he was to have her. It was like she caused a change in him but he couldn't figure out what. He found himself looking forward to her internship timings each day. He found himself caring about her health and safety more than she did herself. He found him taking care of her when she caught a cold. He found him getting happy when she was happy. He found a smile grow on his face seeing her excited when she successfully succeeded in her job. He found him getting more and more astonished on how intelligent she was. He found him getting scared when her wheelchair almost tripped on the ramp the other day and soon he found himself in his lab making an strong gripped rampway for her to travel smoothly . He found himself acting like the one thing he never even dreamed of being successful at.... a father. And Lord did it scare him
