A poem for death

The words you said

You don't even remember what you said to me

Or how it fucked me up

The words that made me cry for days

And just want to give up

I told you I was fine

I told you I didn't mind

I told you I was sorry

I told you that I would try harder

But I wasn't fine and I'm still not

The words you said are still in my mind everyday

I have nothing to be sorry for

But you made it out as if it was my fault

I stopped talking and became better at hiding

You don't even remember what you said to me

The way you made me feel

But I hope it made you happy

To see me crumble and fall
