A poem for death

Scars and cuts

I can' help but smile

Just a little

When I see peoples scars.

Not their cuts.

Their scars.

The ones that have healed.

It shows that their battle is over

And they have won.

They fought and won.

They won.

Their cuts are healed

And they're recovering.

They're survivors.

Theres a difference between scars and cuts.

But if you have either

I'm very proud of you.

Whether you've won your battle

Or are still trying

You're here and I'm proud.
