Remember when you were younger?
And you scrapped your knee
Or bumped your elbow?
You thought that was the worst pain
You thought it would last forever.
But it didn't
It healed
And you forgot what it was like to be in that much pain.
One day all of this
It's just going to be a skinned knee
The pain you think will never end
Will
And you'll forget what it was like to be hurting this much
And I'll be here taking your hand to pick you up
And put a band aid on it
No pain lasts forever
