Master Ubuyashiki's polite nod acknowledges the report, and he expresses his appreciation for the impressive job done. "Ah, I see. Well, you've done an impressive job," he commends.
"Thank you, Master Ubuyashiki," you and Tomioka both express your gratitude, bowing respectfully in his presence. His attention turns back to you, his curiosity evident as he addresses you directly. "I should like to know your name," Ubuyashiki states, his sharp eyes studying you closely. Giyu makes an unexpected announcement that resonates through the assembly of Hashira. "Another thing Master, from today onwards, she is my apprentice". The announcement leaves the other Hashira shocked, as it's highly unusual for someone as reserved and emotionless as Giyu to take on an apprentice. The unexpected turn of events adds an element of intrigue to the gathering, as you prepare to embark on a new chapter of your demon slaying journey under his guidance.
Master Ubuyashiki offers his approval with a serene and understanding demeanor. "I see no reason to reject this," he calmly states, recognizing the potential and significance of the mentorship that is about to begin. His wisdom and support further solidify the path you are embarking upon as Giyu's apprentice within the Demon Slayer Corps. With Master Ubuyashiki's dismissal, the formal meeting concludes. All present bow in acknowledgment before making their way outside. The weight of the occasion still lingers in the air as you step out, ready to embark on your journey as Giyu's apprentice within the Demon Slayer Corps. As you and Giyu step outside, the warm presence of Shinobu, the Insect Hashira, greets you. She approaches with a friendly smile, her cheerful demeanor standing out in contrast to the often stoic atmosphere of the Hashira. It's a reassuring sight, and her warm greeting adds a touch of camaraderie to the moment.
"Hi, [nickname]!" Shinobu exclaims with her usual playful tone, a warm smile on her face. She doesn't hold back her curiosity and amusement about Giyu's decision. "I was really shocked that Giyu would decide to have an apprentice. Now, now, I wonder why." Her playful demeanor is evident, and you recall that she often teases Giyu. Their dynamic seems close, and you've wondered if there might be something more between them since you've observed them during missions. There's an undeniable chemistry between them. Shinobu continues her light-hearted teasing with a mischievous grin. "Or is it because it's such a beautiful lady?" a charming chuckle, her hand covering her mouth as she laughs. You find her company quite delightful.
A blush creeps across your cheeks at her compliment, and you respond with a small laugh. "Nah, you are more pretty than me!" you playfully counter, acknowledging both her beauty and her strength. You're careful not to reveal your observations about her and Giyu. With a smile, you meet her gaze. "Aww, aren't you humble?" you quip back, enjoying the friendly exchange. Giyu interjects into the conversation, addressing Shinobu. "My apprentice needs to go home now and get her things," he explains, his gaze directed at Shinobu.
Shinobu's curiosity leads her to inquire about your living arrangements, and Giyu's candid response surprises her. He straightforwardly states, "At my house." This unexpected revelation briefly leaves Shinobu looking both sad and confused, but she eventually lets out a laugh, seemingly accepting the situation.
As you begin your journey home, you wave at them and offer your departure. "I shall return" you say, to which Giyu simply nods and Shinobu waves her hand. With your journey back home ahead of you, you begin the two-and-a-half-hour travel to retrieve your belongings and embark on this new chapter as Giyu's apprentice.
