It's now the next morning and Valentina was sitting next to Max as she was writing letters. Although it was hard considering the other three, Lucas, Dustin, and Steve kept blabbing about trying to understand the newspaper Nancy and Robin came across at the library.

"Okay, be honest. Do any of you understand this?"

"No."

"It's pretty straightforward," Dustin exclaimed in a slight attitude.

"Straightforward, really?" Steve questioned.

"What's confusing to you? So far, everyone Vecna had cursed, has died, except for this really old Victor Creel dude, Nancy found. He's the only known survivor. If anyone knows how to beat this curse, it's him," Dustin explained, going into detail.

"That's assuming he was cursed, which we don't even know. How can Vecna have existed in the 50's? It doesn't make sense."

The question was overheard by Valentina, which got her intrigued herself, starting to wonder the same thing. Always have been one to explore and investigate a mystery even though they sometimes scared her.

Her attention was then caught by Max's, every now and then asking Valentina if the letters that were being written, seemed passable if something were to actually happen. "Do you think this is okay?" Then pointing to a sentence of a letter.

I don't think he could stand being here without you.
So he left.

Billy. She was writing to her late step-brother, Billy Hargrove. Him dying in the mall fire last summer, at least that's what everyone was told, including his father, Neil.

With a ghost of a frown on her face, Valentina nodded, and Max then went on to finish that letter.

She remembered who Billy was. He and Max moved to Hawkins in 1984, practically in the middle of the school year.

Billy was in Valentina's Physical Education class, she'd always sat on the bleachers, following the rest of the girls in her class, meanwhile the boys played basketball. One particular day she'll always remember is when Nancy called for Steve where they went to go talk out around the back.

Valentina watched from the sidelines, thinking of the times Nancy had snuck out of class to watch Steve play. What she didn't know was that Billy was an admirer, but in no romantic way, more of a protective way.

Yet one day, she saw a side of him that scared the shit out of her. Walking to her mom's car after school one day, she happened to see Billy's Camaro, yelling at his sister, or step-sister.
