'Anch'io ti amo'-those three words echoed in my mind, stirring up a whirlwind of thoughts and doubts. Did my actions force her into a life she never desired? The weight of the what-ifs and maybes began to bear down on me.

In the midst of the banter and playful exchanges, I couldn't help but notice the distant look in her eyes. There was a veil she wore, perhaps guarding her vulnerability. It made me question if I was the cause of that distance. The doubts gnawed at me, unraveling a side I rarely acknowledged-the concern for her feelings.

The amusement we shared felt hollow under the weight of her unspoken thoughts. I found myself struggling to understand her, to discern what lay behind that distant gaze. And in that moment, I realized that beneath the facade of a dangerous man, there was a lingering thread of empathy for the woman who had been swept into my world.

Consumed in my thoughts, the knock on the door jolted me back to the present. "Come in," I ordered, my voice unintentionally cold and authoritative. Veer entered, his face devoid of emotions, a trait I admired in one of my most trusted men-the very reason I appointed him as Shivaleeka's personal bodyguard.

"Boss, can you appoint someone else for Mrs. Knight?" he asked, his tone respectful but with a hint of urgency. "I need to go back to India for a week."

"Why?" I inquired, curiosity piqued by his sudden need to leave.

"Holi is coming, and my family wants to celebrate the festival this year," he explained. Holi, an Indian festival of colors. I had conducted research upon learning about her attachment to her customs and traditions. Understanding the significance of these events to her was crucial.

It's time to impress my Little Tigress. I thought, formulating a plan. "Why don't you bring your family here? You can celebrate it with them at the mansion," I suggested to Veer. He nodded in agreement and waited for further instructions.

"You can leave." I said, granting him permission. Veer bowed respectfully before leaving the room. It was a thoughtful gesture, one that I hoped would show Shivaleeka that I was considerate of her values and traditions.

After Veer's departure, I delved into the day's tasks. The preparations for the upcoming Holi festival were underway, blending the vibrant hues of tradition with the undercurrents of the mafia world. My responsibilities as a mafia leader weren't bound by the clock, and so, I juggled between organizing the celebration and attending to the affairs of my organization.

The day was a mix of mafia business and preparations for Holi, the festival of colors. I had to ensure that both aspects of my life were managed seamlessly. The criminal empire I presided over required constant attention, decisions made, alliances formed, and threats dealt with. The responsibilities weighed heavily on my shoulders, but it was a life I had chosen, one I had been born into.

Drawn into my work, I lost track of time, engrossed in the dealings of the mafia world. When I finally checked the clock, it was already quarter to 12. Not wanting to disturb my queen's beauty sleep, I quietly made my way to our room. After freshening up, I slipped under the covers.
