JAMIE STEMBER and chris sturniolo had the perfect relationship. she was the head photographer for the school paper and he was co-captain of the lacrosse team. they had the love story that everybody wanted, too: best friends since birth before dating from eighth to eleventh grade. but like most relationships in high school, theirs did not last.
IT'S UNCLEAR WHAT caused the breakup. both teens had different interpretations and neither could actually tell who ended things first. however, it felt like jamie was the only one actually affected by it. she spent the second half of junior year in a slump, completely avoiding him and only hanging out with his brother nick anywhere but his house.
HOWEVER, EVERYTHING changed when chris got with her best friend over the summer. jamie felt betrayed. not only because chris moved on in the span of two months, but also because he got with someone who was extremely close with her. she was hurt on both sides. soon, though, the hurt turned to hatred and anger. if chris wanted to date her best friend, or rather ex-best friend, then jamie decided there was no other way to get him back by getting with none other than his very own brother.
